Dafa Practitioner Family Broken and Homeless Due to the Persecution

Nov. 10, 2000 |   A sympathetic and informed person

Huang Tianming is a practitioner from Liulin, Jinma Town, Wenjiang County of Sichuan Province. He has a family of 3, all of whom started practicing Falun Dafa in July of 1995. Soon after the family began practicing Dafa, Huang's chronic enteritis, chronic bronchitis, leg arthritis, his wife's serious gynaecopathia, and his daughter's high fever totally disappeared. Although many fellow villagers refused to pay grain taxes, Huang took the initiative to do so after practicing Falun Dafa. His daughter was an excellent student at school.

On December 30, 1999, when Huang was working in a factory, the town police unexpectedly took him away and detained him for 48 days. His wife was also detained for 45 days for appealing in Beijing. Consequently, his 12-year-old daughter spent the Spring Festival alone at home. Two policemen from the town harassed Huang's daughter every 2-3 days and demanded she tell them the names of other practitioners. Otherwise, they threatened that she would not be allowed to go to school. On several occasions, the police went to her school and pressured her. However, Huang's daughter never feared their threats..

On June 29, 2000, when Huang was working in the field, two security guards and two policemen came and put him into a police vehicle without explanation. One policeman punched Huang's face as soon as he stepped into the vehicle. They kept Huang in the detention center for another month. On July 28, Huang was released from the detention center. But a division head Director Yang and the Party secretary Zhou Hongwei of the town government did not allow him to go home. They shackled Huang to a tree in the government office-building yard in the baking sun. Director Yang also threatened to impose a fine of several thousand RMB, demanded that Huang write a guarantee letter and also that he be recorded scolding Teacher Li. Since Huang disagreed, they left him standing with his hands cuffed to the banisters of the office building until 2:00AM the following morning

Zhou Hongwei, the Party secretary of the town government said: "The Chinese government does not really care about human rights. Human rights are an issue of concern only to foreigners. The government has the say. To put it bluntly, even if you are beaten to death today, it won't be a big issue. The worst case would be to pay you some money when the Falun Gong case is redressed in the future. But what would the money account for when the person is dead? Therefore, you'd better behave yourself." Seeing that Huang was not moved by their words, they continued to torture him.

At 8:30PM on July 29, a group of underworld gang members went to the town government and asked Huang: do you know us? After Huang said no, the gangsters began to beat him. They wrapped a bundle of hemp with poisonous needles around Huang's face, chest and back, and used a bamboo stick of over an inch in diameter to hit Huang's head and back violently. They pounded Huang's head against armored glasses. As a result, Huang's head became swollen and bloody, he could hardly see, his face was out of shape and beyond recognition, and his entire body was covered with blood and bruises. All of the villagers came to understand that the local government inhumanely persecuted the practitioners, and that one may receive beatings simply for being a good person.

The cadres from the town government intentionally violated the law by repeatedly hiring gangsters to harass Huang's family. They threatened to smash his windows and drove away Huang's uncle who was there taking care of his home. In a short span of half a year, a happy family was broken and the home was deserted. To shirk the responsibility, Zhou Hongwei, the town Party secretary, said: "I was nice to Huang and did not beat Huang. It was the Gang head Chen who beat him."

At present, it is not clear whether practitioner Huang is still alive. The whereabouts of his daughter and wife are also unknown. His daughter should have gone to school on September 1. This is a "masterpiece" of Director Yang and Secretary Zhou Hongwei. What has happened clearly demonstrates who are the good people and who are the bad ones. A law-abiding and harmonious family has been persecuted and placed into this state by the evil forces. This evil conduct should be known by all kind-hearted people in the world.
