Master Buxu was a general in China's Sui dynasty (AD 581-618, short-lived Chinese dynasty that unified the country after four centuries of fragmentation in which North and South had gone quite different ways). He witnessed the rampant corruption and chaos during the final period of the dynasty. To save himself from the perils, he converted to Buddhism and became a monk in Mount Tiantai.
More than one thousand years after Buxu, a lay Buddhist named Jinhan in the Guangxu years of the Ch'ing dynasty, found in the Biyun Temple of Mount Xi in Beijing some prophecies by Buxu in verses. The verses start with a brief autobiographic rhyme about Buxu himself--and his key spiritual findings. For instance, it attributes the dissatisfied Buxu's unexpected flight into a Buddhist temple in Mount Tiantai to the turmoil at the end of the Sui Dynasty. There, Buxu led a disciplined cultivation life characterized by a simplest diet and virtual assimilation to Mother Nature. These experiences enabled him to offer prophesies about China's future, a capability not uncommon in various cultivation schools historically prevalent in China. In his eyes, China would see a spread of "Great Tao" cultivation practice for nine years--which coincided with the public dissemination of Falun Dafa from 1992 to presumably 2001. It also mentions ten primary historical periods China would go through before a world-changing event occurs. Interestingly, since Sui Dynasty, China has already been ruled by nine dynasties: Sui, T'ang, Five Dynasties, Sung, Yuan, Ming, Ch'ing, Nationalist, and the current Communist.
The brief rhyme is followed by a long and vague prose that is probably meaningful only in retrospect. Proceeding in the chronological order, the prose describes, with unbelievable accuracy, the following major historical events and personalities of China during the 20th century: Xuan Tong the Toddler Emperor; modern China's founding father Dr. Sun Yat-sen; the Wuchang Uprising that overthrew the reign of Xuan Tong and established the Republic of China whose first president was Dr. Sun; long-time Chinese nationalist leader Chiang Kai-shek; the Xi'an detention of Chiang by his generals to force his collaboration with the Chinese communists in 1936; the invasion by the Japanese; Mao Zedong and his brutal rule; Taiwan, etc. It is noteworthy that the prose also predicts that the future Chinese spiritual Lord has a celestial zodiac of hare, and there would be a worldwide elimination process of human beings.
As a veteran Buddhist, I had the fortune to once receive lectures by a premiere Buddhist years ago on Buxu's prophecies. I decided to share it with the public only because I believe it will benefit people with predestined relationships. Similar prophecies were circulating around the world throughout its civilized history, and they all share many similarities.
Not only does the prose delineate a historic test, or elimination, that rewards the benevolent and penalizes the evil, it also presages that "the upcoming world and the whole universe will be split up into three parts." Let's see who can accomplish this feat. In Zhuan Falun it says, "The most fundamental characteristic of this universe, Zhen-Shan-Ren, is the highest manifestation of the Buddha Fa. It is the most fundamental Buddha Fa...This characteristic, Zhen-Shan-Ren, is in the microscopic particles of air, rock, wood, soil, iron and steel, the human body, as well as in all matter. The same is true with our universe, which has the Milky Way, other galaxies, as well as life and water. All things and matter in this universe are aspects of material existence. At the same time, however, it also possesses the characteristic Zhen-Shan-Ren. All microscopic particles of matter embody this characteristic--even the extremely microscopic particles have this property." The prose also foresees the appearance of a supreme spiritual Lord, who will guide the people through the great havoc towards a most harmonious and blissful reunion of the whole world.
While the prose prophesizes many historical events and the emergence of Falun Dafa, it should not be trusted blindly. Mr. Li Hongzhi, founder of Falun Dafa, says in March 1999 at a lecture in New York, "Every prophecy of today no longer works, because of the dissemination of Dafa in human society. The [rotten] apple has become fresh again, who can destroy it?" From this standpoint, some disasters predicted in the prose may no longer exist--therefore are omitted in this article. However, I shall be gratified if this article would propel Dafa practitioners to be more diligent in their cultivations, which is the only and ultimate way to obtain salvation.
A Dafa Particle
