1. [Shenzheng] Former Contact Person in Shen-zhen Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison

Duowei Chinese News-net reported that on March 30, the Fu-tian district People's Court of Shen-zhen City put the former local contact person of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Jian-hui, on a show-trial. Mr. Li Jian-hui was sentenced to 4 years in prison under the accusation of "organizing and using cult to violate the implementation of the law".


2. [Shan-xi Province] Practitioners Jailed for Appealing for Falun Dafa

On January 28, a few days before the Chinese New Year, the local police officer in Tai-yuan City went to the home of practitioner Mr. Cao Rui-quan to ask him whether he would go out of town during the Chinese New Year. He said he would go to his hometown in Yang-qu County. On February 3, he got arrested at home without any reason and was thrown into a labor camp for one year of forced-labor "education". Before that, Mr. Cao had been detained for one month for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong on last December 3.

On January 3, a practitioner from Tai-yuan City, Mr. Hou Li-jun, went to the State Council Appealing Office in Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. After being escorted back from Beijing, he was given a sentence of two and a half years of forced-labor "education". Her mother went to the Court to appeal for him but got detained illegally.


3. [Hebei Province] Practitioners Arrested for Involvement in Chinese New Year Group Practice

Practitioners from Shi-jia-zhuang City, Zhang Wen-jing and Wu Jin-hu, have recently been transformed from administrative detention to criminal detention.

Zhang Wen-jing was suspected of organizing the Falun Gong group practice on Chinese New Year's Eve. Wu Jin-hu got arrested because she was the owner of the cassette player used during the group practice.


4. [Si-chuan Province] 200 Practitioners Held Group Practice; Practitioners Paraded through Street

On March 26 (Sunday), about 200 practitioners practiced Falun Gong exercises in the Qiao-tou Park of Guang-han City, Si-chuan Province. In the end, the police officer used two trucks to take some practitioners away.

Practitioners from the Song-lin Village of Guang-han City got arrested on their way to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. They were escorted back to the Village and were paraded through the street by the local government. Meanwhile, they were each imposed a fine of 1,000 Yuan, which was not a small financial burden for a villager. Their personal properties would be taken away if they could not afford that money.
