A Letter from A Mother in Jail to Her Children

May 8, 2000

XXX, Greetings!

Teacher said: "The bitterest hardship is also the most precious. There are many tribulations pertaining to the cultivation to return to one's origin based on his enlightenment ability, but he can thus succeed quickly." "One's life is not for being a human. It is meant to return to one's original true self." (Zhuan Falun) I think you have already known such principles. No matter how bitter, how tiring, and how hard it is, I will hold on to it until the end, practice in the way as Teacher said, "You can endure it no matter how difficult to endure; you can do it no matter how impossible to do it." and eventually return home with Teacher.

Do keep on studying the teachings and practicing the exercises every day. Time is very precious for us. In terms of cultivation environment, it is quite harsh here in all respects, but "the bitterest hardship is the most precious". Many of our tribulations are caused by our own karma. It is hard to get rid of some of our attachments, but we have to let go of them. In particular, we cannot miss this very opportunity, that is, the opportunity that Teacher comes personally to save us. Teacher said: "The opportunity comes only once in your lifetime. Once the illusion that you cannot relinquish disappears, you will realize what you have lost." To save us, Teacher has endured numerous hardships, as you are also aware of.

My dear children, do hurry up in cultivating yourselves so as to return your true homes and find your true mothers. Your true mothers are there waiting for your return. However, you can return there only after you have successfully cultivated yourselves to the consummation. The fact that I am in labor camp is also a test for you two and your father. No loss, no gain. It is a blessing for us to endure hardships. I hope you can all pass this test.

Your mother in jail
