Part 1

Zhang Jieqiong started to practice Falun Dafa in 1996. In July 1999, when Dafa was slandered, she went to tell the truth to the City Government with many other practitioners in Guangzhou City. The City Government called out riot police and escorted the appealing practitioners to an obscure location hidden away in the suburbs. In October 99, she quit her job and went to Beijing with several fellow practitioners. While they were sharing experiences in a Beijing hotel, police suddenly appeared and took them away. After an unfair trial, she was sent back to a police station in Guangzhou, where she was held for 3 days. Although she had been released, the police continued to follow her and required her to report to the police station everyday. They instructed her to go visit her fiancé (also a practitioner) in Shenzhen City. During her absence, police broke into her apartment and searched for Dafa materials. They found nothing.

On July 11, 2000, policemen from Mawan Police Station (Nanshan Town, Shenzhen City) came and arrested Zhang Jieqiong and fellow practitioner Li Jiang. Zhang's fiancé heard about it and came to help, but he was also arrested. While they were held in the police station, police searched their apartments and took away all their Dafa books. They were finally released around 11:00 PM.

On the evening of July 13, police from Mawan Police Station illegally detained the three of them for a third time. The next evening, Zhang Jieqiong and Li Jiang were transferred to Nanshan Detention Center. Zhang Jieqiong's fiancé was bailed out.

In Nanshan Detention Center, police force other prisoners to pour ice water on Falun Dafa practitioners' bodies. Zhang Jieqiong bore the torture calmly. However, when the police officers had other prisoners try to force her to sit on a piece of paper with Teacher's name on it and then grind it under her feet, she flatly refused. Her determination shocked the police officers and the prisoners.

The practitioners' ability to endure such cruel abuse moved the hearts of many of the other prisoners. They all now know that Dafa practitioners are good people. Some prisoners even said that they would learn Falun Dafa after they were released.

By August, Zhang Jieqiong still refused to give in to the police and renounce her practice. As a result, the authorities at Nanshan Police Station continued to hold her.

By September, the Nanshan Police Station told Zhang Jieqiong's mother and sister to come and persuade her (to not practice Dafa). As a result of their persuasion, Zhang wrote an "experiences and understandings" article and submitted it to her officer.

On Sept 12, Zhang Jieqiong was conditionally released and forced to stay in a hotel near the Nanshan Police Station for another week, watched by some policemen...

On Sept 17, after being illegally jailed for more than 2 months, Zhang Jieqiong was finally released. However, it was very clear to her that she did not pass the test of giving up her attachments to sentimentality. She calmed down and read Dafa books and Teacher's new articles. Through sharing experiences with other practitioners and reading the news on Clearwisdom.net, she came to understand that she should go to Beijing and expose the cruel deeds of Jiang Zemin and his minions.

By the end of December, Zhang Jieqiong and Xiao Feng finally arrived in Beijing after travelling for 3 days. On Jan 01, 2001, they were arrested while validating Dafa at Tiananmen Square. Zhang Jieqiong was sent back to the Chengdu Police department in Sichuan Province. The police found her family members and extorted 4,500 Yuan (Chinese dollar, average monthly salary in urban areas is about 500 Yuan) as the fee for her transfer. Later on they sent Zhang Jieqiong to a detention center in Jintang County. No one knows the whereabouts of Xiao Feng. We hope she is soon found.

Part 2

In October of 2000, Li Jinrong was released after her 4-month detention in Nanshan Detention Center. To tell the truth about Falun Dafa to more people, she again went to various places to distribute flyers. In December, a security officer caught her while she was doing this. She was arrested and has been held in the Nanshan Police Station since then.

Li Shuqiang was forced to write some statements against Dafa in Nanshan Detention Center. In order to redeem the damage he caused, he went to many places in Shenzhen City to distribute Dafa materials after he was released. Thinking of the compassion of Teacher, he decided to go to Tiananmen Square and validate Dafa. On Dec 25, he opened a banner in Tiananmen Square and spoke out: " Falun Dafa is good!" No one has seen him since.

Wang Hui was released form Nanshan Detention Center in Nov 2000. In December, she quit her job and went to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa. She was arrested and sent back to Nanshan Detention Center, where she now remains imprisoned.

After their release from Nanshan Detention Center, the couple Zhou Shiyu and Li Jiang wanted to take back the statements that the police forced them to write against Dafa. Seeing Teacher's compassionate words, they decided to go to Tiananmen Square again to remedy any damage they might have caused. They were agaian arrested. Zhou Shiyu was sent back to Nanshan Detention Center, while Li Jiang was sent to a detention center in Huizhou City.

Wang Shaona was forced to have an abortion during her detention in Shekou Detention Center in Shenzhen City. She was released in August 2000. In Jan 2001, she was caught by a security officer while distributing materials. She was arrested and is now incarcerated in the Nanshan Detention Center.

Cui Qing went to validate Dafa in Beijing around Jan 01, 2001. She was also arrested and is now being held in Nanshan Detention Center.

Yang Xiaoyan was arrested in November 2000 while she was passing out materials in Nanshan Town. It is said that she has already been sentenced and will be sent to Sanshui Labor Camp.

Liu Qiang was released in August 2000 from Nanshan Detention Center. On December 29, she opened a banner in Tiananmen Square. She spoke out loud while walking on the Square: "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is truth!" She was sent to a police station in Harbin City (Heilongjiang Province).

Part 3

Ye Yanhui was released in Sep 2000. On Oct 4, on her way to Beijing to validate Dafa, she was found and arrested by Nanshan Police Department. She has been detained at the Nanshan Detention Center for almost 4 months.

Zhan Xian was released in Sept 2000. Doctor Zhou (female) was released in August 2000. Both of them went to Tainanmen Square to validate Dafa in October. After police arrested them, they escaped and traveled to cities like Shanghai and Zhengzhou to validate Dafa. In December, police arrested them again in Zhengzhou City, after which they were transferred back to Nanshan Detention Center. They are still being held there.

Part 4

We found out that there are about 30 practitioners detained in Nanshan Detention Center at the moment. All of them experienced some twists and turns before stepping forward to validate Dafa. They have come to understand in the labor camp that they should follow Teacher closely and steadfastly cultivate Dafa, establishing their mighty virtue.
