Toronto Dafa Practitioners Reveal Death of Yu Xiuling and Call for Justice

Oct. 4, 2001 |   Toronto Dafa Disciples

Upon learning on Sunday about the brutal death of Falun Gong practitioner Yu Xiuling, roughly 20 Dafa practitioners in Toronto gathered outside the Chinese Consulate the very next day to call for the immediate abolishment of the "610" offices that have been the key organs responsible for the evil persecution against Dafa across China at central, provincial and municipal levels and to demand that immediate justice be brought to the leading culprit behind the 610 office, Luo Gan.

Displaying signs that revealed the atrocities of the persecution and that clarified the true story of Falun Gong, practitioners stood in an orderly row outside the Chinese Consulate. Two practitioners held a giant banner reading, "Abolish the 610 Office! Bring Luo Gan to Justice!"

Practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts before the official statements were read. Seeing the seriousness of the message that practitioners were about to deliver, nearby construction workers even offered to momentarily stop their work and provide silence for the statements to be read. Several listened intently as the statements were read.

The speech called for an end to State Terrorism in China against Falun Gong and it pointed to the 610 offices, headed by Luo Gan, as the key instruments in bringing terror to millions of Chinese people and their families.

After the statements were read in both English and Chinese, the practitioners again sent forth righteous thoughts.

Among the media in Toronto who picked up the story of this brutal death case was Radio Canada International, which broadcasts worldwide. Practitioners were also interviewed by Radio Free Asia, which broadcasts into China. A statement regarding the death of Yu Xuiling and the demands of the Falun Gong practitioners to abolish the 610 office and bring Luo Gan to justice was distributed to local and national media across the Greater Toronto area.
