In the past two years, under Luo Gan's leadership, the 610 Office has conducted a brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China. Many innocent people were killed. Many families were destroyed.

In the afternoon of September 30, upon hearing the horrifying news that female practitioner Yu Xiuling suffered a lengthy beating by police before being thrown to her death from a high window, dozens of practitioners from Chicago and Indiana came to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago to mourn for the deceased fellow practitioner.

Practitioners held banners that read, "China: Stop killing Falun Gong practitioners", "Dismantle the 610 Office and bring Luo Gan to Justice". They also held a candlelight vigil and sent forth righteous thoughts.
