1. Retribution in Wangkui County, Heilongjiang Province

Yu Shixiao is a policeman in his mid-forties in Wangkui County, Heilongjiang Province. Yu persecuted a number of practitioners who were illegally kept in custody. He also slandered Dafa and unlawfully detained practitioners for more than three months. In the spring of 2001, Yu's colleagues murdered him and left his body by the roadside.

Zhang Yan, in his fifties is Secretary of the Political Committee. Zhang illegally detained practitioners who came to Beijing to validate the Fa. He joined others in torturing the practitioners during the two months they were detained. In the spring, Zhang died suddenly in his car while on his way home from the city.

2. Retribution In Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province

Guo Yugang, in his twenties, is a resident in the Nongfeng Township. One evening, Guo followed a female practitioner while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials. Having monetary rewards in mind, he tried to forcefully take the practitioner to the township government, but the practitioner managed to escape. Guo was furious. He persuaded a few thugs to search each house in the town, causing tremendous unrest in the neighborhood. Guo also used black ink to write on the utility poles outside his house to slander Dafa and defame practitioners.

On November 7, 2001 around 9:40 a.m., Guo was riding his motorcycle. At an intersection, for reasons unknown, Guo was suddenly thrown into the air and fell on the ground a yard away. It took him a long time to stand up, but when he finally did, he could hardly walk. People who had gathered around him talked about the accident and attributed it to Guo's persecution of Falun Gong.

3. Retribution in Pingliang City, Gansu Province

The officials in Pingliang City persecuted Dafa and treated practitioners brutally. Five practitioners were illegally sent to a forced labor camp while numerous others were unlawfully kept in custody. The officials extorted money, beat and humiliated the practitioners and ransacked many of the practitioners' homes. In March, the Pingliang People's Theatre caught fire while showing a film that defamed Falun Gong to primary and middle school students. Both the theatre and the film, which had been malevolently produced to vilify Falun Gong, were destroyed.
