Yu Mei: Sentenced to 2-years labor reeducation for spreading Dafa materials.

Shi Zhonghui: Arrested for peaceful appealing. Her home was ransacked and she was sentenced to 2-years labor reeducation.

Cao Zhuo: Arrested for unfurling a banner in Beijing. His/her home was searched. Sentenced to 4 years in prison after being illegally detained for 10 months.

Fan XX: Arrested for unfurling a banner in Beijing. His/her home was searched. He/she was sentenced to 3 years in prison after being illegally detained for 10 months.

Liu Shu E: Illegally arrested. Her home was illegally searched after signing a letter to the United Nations. She was sentenced to 2 years in prison after being detained for 10 months. Later the sentence was reduced to 1 year after her family was told to pay 20,000 RMB. (US$2,400, $60 is the average monthly wage in China)

Zhang Yuehe: Illegally detained for 10 months. He was recently sentenced to 5 years in prison. His home was searched many times.

Xing Guochang: Illegally detained. His home was searched. The water pipe was damaged during the search. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison for perjury after being illegally detained for 10 months.

Xu Fengying: Her two nieces from Beijing came to Zhengding County to visit her, and were arrested. After being detained for over 10 months, the older one was sentenced to 1 year in prison and the younger one was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

The vicious actions of the Public Security Bureau at Zhengding County:

1. They performed home searches without reason: In November 2000, many painted slogans, such as "Falun Dafa is Good", appeared along large and small streets in Zhengding county. The County Public Security Bureau was flustered and illegally searched the homes of Dafa practitioners without finding any evidence. Many people's homes were searched and some practitioners' homes were searched as many as three times. Zheng Lanrui was illegally arrested and until now, has been detained for more than two months.
2. The Bureau viciously beat and searched Dafa practitioners who went to appeal. Cai Shengli would confiscate money found during the searches. 900 RMB ($108) was taken from Shi Zhonghui, and 500 RMB ($60) was taken from Zheng Lixia. The situations of other practitioners remain unknown.
3. In the Detention Center, practitioners were beaten, forced to kneel and put on handcuffs and shackles after practicing Falun Gong. They were locked up even while sleeping, eating and using the restroom. The longest time that someone was restrained was for more than 50 days.
4. Using extortion of money to reduce sentences: 20,000 RMB. ($2,400) can reduce the sentence term by 1 year. Maybe this is another "special phenomenon" of China. Liu Shu E was sentenced to 2 years in prison. The county public security bureau asked her family to pay 20,000 RMB to reduce the sentence to 1 year.
