1. [China] Take the Fa as Teacher, Resist All Kinds of Persecution

During Teacher's Fa-rectification, the old forces of the cosmos mainly utilized the media to produce numerous lies to persecute Dafa and practitioners. At the same time, they also employed other means of persecution. For instance, some people pretend to be Dafa practitioners, but at certain times and under certain circumstances, they appear to lose their mind, talk strangely, and do things against Dafa or damage Dafa. This directly damages the reputation of Dafa and practitioners in the world, and some ordinary people were pushed in the opposite direction of Dafa as a result.

True practitioners should always take the Fa as Teacher and not become attached to yourself no matter where you are and what you are doing. Especially at the current stage, we should use our wisdom to recognize all kinds of persecution, make the best use of time and help more people to establish the righteous thought that "Falun Dafa is Good," so that they can be saved.

2. [Northern China] University Student with a Mighty, Righteous Mind

This April, the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecuteáFalun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] ordered all universities and colleges across the nation to stop classes, and watch anti-Falun Gong videos and discuss them. In front of a class in a certain university in north China, a student was deceived by the false content slandering Dafa in the video and said bad things about Falun Dafa. Another student, Daqiang (pseudonym, Daqiang's mother is a steadfast practitioner whose life has been saved by Dafa), suddenly stood up from his chair and asked, "Do you know what Falun Gong is? Have you read Mr. Li Hongzhi's books? If you do not know about it you shouldn't talk. Come down here, do not talk there irresponsibly. I know what Falun Gong is and let me tell you what it is all about." Daqiang walked to the stage quickly and said, "Experiencing it is the only way to judge whether it is true or not, how can those who have never practiced Falun Gong be fit to criticize it? My mother is a Falun Gong practitioner. Before the practice, she was tortured so severely by rheumatoid arthritis and other illnesses that several times she wanted to commit suicide. Shortly after she practiced Falun Gong, all of her illnesses were gone, what is wrong with that? Is it wrong trying to have good health and be a good person? In the past when my mother was sick nobody cared about us. But now, when she is very healthy after practicing Falun Gong and we live together happily, we received all kinds of 'care' from the community committee, police substation and public security bureau. What is more, during the Chinese New Year my mother was taken away from home and locked up in the detention center! All of this was witnessed by my eyes and experienced by myself. I hope that nobody will talk irresponsibly anymore! " This unexpected speech silenced the whole audience, and students' hearts were deeply moved by his courage and righteousness of speaking the truth. Warm applause arose when he stepped down from the stage.

3. [Xi'an City, Shanxi Province] Female Practitioner Pu Jianghong Remains Steadfast in Spite of Repeated Brutal Torture

Dafa practitioner Pu Jianghong from Xi'an City went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Gong in November 2000. She was illegally arrested and detained in Shijingshan Detention Center. In order to get her name and address, the police beat her continuously for 5 days. But she was determined not to cooperate with evil forces and didn't tell her name and address, she also resisted with a hunger strike. On the 15^th day of her hunger strike she was transferred to a small county in Hebei province and released the next day.

After returning to Xi'an City, she was forced to leave her home in order to avoid being arrested . The local Public Security Bureau and Safety Bureau put her on a wanted list with a 50,000 Yuan reward (Chinese currency, the average monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan), and threatened her relatives several times to turn her in. On May 16, 2001, she and three other practitioners were arrested when former practitioners who turned against Dafa turned them in. During the three months in the detention center, she refused to cooperate with evil forces and again protested with a hunger strike. She was tortured using a special bed used only for death row inmates. When the police pried open her mouth and force-fed her, her teeth were severely damaged. In August she was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. She remains firm, doesn't cooperate with evil forces to do any labor or recite rules for criminals, and is asking for unconditional release. Influenced by her, some other practitioners there refuse to cooperate with evil forces as well. Because of this, the guards often order other inmates and police to beat her up. Not long ago, a former practitioner Wang who had turned against Dafa gave a report at the request of the labor camp, slandering Dafa and Teacher. Pu Jianghong stood up to resist it, and Wang's report ended in a hurry. She was again beaten because of this. It is said that she is locked up in solitary confinement, no visitors are permitted and neither is she allowed access to winter clothes. Her current situation remains unknown.

4. [Anhui Province] Practitioners Go to Beijing to Validate Dafa

On December 18, 2001, thirteen practitioners (including a practitioner over 70 years-old and six-month-old baby) from Anhui Province went to Beijing to validate Dafa. With unshakable and the purest hearts, they came to Tiananmen Square to fulfill their sacred oath of "Assisting Teacher in his journey in this world." (cited from Hongyin, "Assisting the Fa") Facing heavily armed police, practitioners dispersed them with righteous thoughts and walked into the gate tunnel under Tiananmen building. There they unfurled two banners towards passersby and shouted out loudly together, "Falun Dafa is good! Restore the reputation of Dafa, restore the reputation of Teacher!" Their voices echoed high up in the sky, effectively frightening and eliminating the evil, and displayed Dafa's mighty virtue toward heaven and earth. During the process, five practitioners were arrested, and the rest of them returned home safely. Several days later, four of the arrested practitioners kept their minds righteous, refused to cooperate with evil forces, and returned home safely under Teacher's compassionate protection.

5. [Liaoning Province] Persecution of Practitioners in Anshan Forced Labor Camp and Haicheng Detention Center

Some former practitioners who have turned against Dafa formed a TV team in Anshan Forced Labor Camp, and made up a ten-episode TV series slandering Dafa. The content is extremely evil, and they probably will broadcast it starting on New Year's Day of 2002.

The partial list of the former practitioners who have turned against Dafa is: Cao Wei, Yu Zhijie, Wang Tianguang, Zhang Zhongrong, Zhang Zifeng, Li Yi, Wu Xiaoxue, Zhang Yingtang and Gao Jian.

This March, the persecution to Dafa practitioners in Haicheng Detention Center was severe. The gate guard wouldn't allow practitioners to talk. If they did they would be threatened and slapped. The supervising guard stripped away the practitioners' sweaters and heavy pants [In northern part of China, a type of heavy pants made of wool are commonly worn to protect against the cold], and only let them wear light pants. Starting from the entrance gate, practitioners were not allowed to wear shoes, and they had to walk to the cells bare foot. When they were sent to Anshan City, practitioners asked for their sweaters and heavy pants but none were returned. In Haicheng Detention Center, only two pieces of small fist-sized corn bread were given for each meal and it was sometimes half-cooked. In addition, the corn bread contained sand and sometimes was mildewed. The soup contained no oil or vegetables, but had insects and dirt. When there was an inspection from superiors, they were forced to say that they had meat in their dishes while actually they had not. They were also asked to recite their "five rights" including filing a complaint, suing somebody, appealing, reporting against someone and so on, but actually none of the rights were granted.

In every cell there is a cell head. They cooperate with each other and utilize inmates to do their bidding, and forbid them to tell anybody. They set the frequency and length of time for using the restroom. If their rules are not followed, inmates would be cursed or beaten.

This is my eyewitness account.

6. [Southern China] A Large Amount of Truth Clarifying Materials Appear in Two Universities

About a thousand pieces of truth clarifying material and one hundred CDs appeared in two universities in Southern China. The evil forces were really frightened.

7. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] The Persecution of A Mother and Her Daughter

On December 12, Fu Liang and her daughter were arrested from their home in Anshan City, Liaoning Province by Shenbei Police Substation, because they won't give up practicing Dafa. They are currently detained in No. 2 Detention Center of Anshan City. Fu Liang started a hunger strike more than ten days ago to protest the illegal detention and persecution. Instead of listening to her, the police persecuted her more severely. They inserted a feeding tube through her nose, causing damage to her nose and esophagus, and force-fed her with corn flour and salt water. Currently she is very weak and endures a great deal of pain.

Here we appeal to the kind people in the world to support justice and pay attention to the situation of the mother and daughter.

8. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] The Criminal Conduct of the 610 Office

Practitioner Rao Zhuoyuan from Guangzhou City was kidnapped by officers of the 610 Office. In order to protest persecution, he went on a hunger strike for more than 50 days. He was brutally tortured during his hunger strike. Rao was hit with a heavy staff, and many parts of his body were left severely bruised. He originally weighed 60 kg, but now weighs only 30 kg. Recently his family was notified to take him home, because the detention center and hospital dared not to hold him any longer. To make sure that they would not be responsible if he died in their hands, they pushed him back to his family. This again shows that the 610 Office is vicious and cruel by nature.

Another practitioner Li Jian, a teacher in Zhongshan University, went to Tiananmen, Beijing to validate Dafa and voiced the true feelings in his heart: "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa!" He was illegally sentenced to one year in the Xiaodao Forced Labor Camp. Recently, the community committee took several additional practitioners from their homes to the brainwashing class.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] A Report on the Persecution of Dafa Practitioners in Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp

On December 24, a group of Falun Gong practitioners who refused to give up practicing in other forced labor camps were sent to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Before those practitioners arrived, the labor camp had declared that they would just beat them until they gave up, and that would also teach a lesson to the practitioners already detained there.

As soon as the practitioners entered this labor camp, the guards ordered practitioners originally detained there to turn their backs and not watch, then the beatings of the newly admitted practitioners began. All that could be heard was beating, cursing and painful screaming from practitioners. At the same time, the police threatened and tried to force the originally detained practitioners to give up practicing. The inhuman action of the guards is not allowed according to the heaven's law!

10. [Shanghai] A Practitioner Is Kidnapped

Shanghai practitioner Xie Qiang, male, 31 years old, was reported by a former practitioner who has turned against Dafa in the middle of October. He was detained and has been forced to attend an anti-Falun Gong brainwashing class in Qingpu. A reliable source said that he might already be sentenced to a forced labor camp, and the charge against him is spreading Falun Dafa materials.

11. [Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province] Official in the Party Tells the Truth

In the evening of November 17, 2001 in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, Chen and I took a taxi to a Computer Market. On the way, we clarified the truth of Dafa to the driver. When we talked about the "Tiananmen Immolation," the driver said, "I know it better than you. One friend of mine is an official in the party and revealed it to me, 'In the past, whenever the party launched a campaign, it had always been successful. While under current Jiang's regime, they are out of ideas of how to handle those harmless but steadfast Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners still go on even though many of them were beaten to death by the police and authorities. Every practitioner says Falun Dafa is good, asks us to restore their Teacher's reputation, restore Dafa's reputation, and suggests to us that we read the book of Zhuan Falun to truly understand what kind of people they are. Actually we know that they are good people. But under the pressure of higher authorities, none of us dares to say a single word for Falun Gong. If we did not follow what we are required to do by the higher authorities, we would be fired immediately, so we have to follow orders and do things against our conscience. Surprisingly, instead of being suppressed, Falun Gong is stronger and more people come to learn the practice. The authorities are full of complaints from high to low levels. Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan's people have used all kinds of means to persecute Falun Gong and are at the end of their wits. At the time, they found some people in Kaifeng City, Henan Province who were very hungry for money. The authorities spent huge amounts of money to pay them to perform a "Tiananmen Immolation." But somehow, it was exposed by foreign reporters. It really disgraces Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan and their followers. My friend also told me not to believe TV, newspaper and other media propaganda on Falun Gong because the reports are all false. Inside the party, nobody is interested in the media reports on Falun Gong. What is on Falun Gong's flyers is the real truth. In every campaign, the party murders lots of people. We know the persecution of Falun Gong is wrong. Once the day comes that Falun Gong's reputation is restored, those people who take part in the current persecution of Falun Gong will end up being punished."

From the party official's saying, it is obvious that the inside followers of Jiang and Luo's Gang are worried about their own future, and already sense the doomed fate of such vicious persecution of Falun Gong. For those who are still actively taking part in Jiang and Luo's Gang to persecute Dafa and the practitioners, we hope you can tell good from evil and stop the persecution immediately.

12. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp Officials Mercilessly Beat Up Dafa Practitioners

On December 24, 2001, male practitioners sentenced to forced labor in Liaoyuan City, Tonghua City and Baicheng City were transferred to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. The sources said all the sentenced male practitioners in labor camps would be transferred to Chaoyanggou and Jiutai. A section head whose last name is Zhu is in charge of it. Wang Yanwei, who is the chief of Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp, gave personal instructions to the guards and criminals of the labor camp to mercilessly beat up those recently transferred practitioners. Almost every practitioner's body was full of wounds and scars. Some practitioners' arms and legs were seriously injured, and some were beaten to the point of vomiting blood. It is said that this kind of brutal treatment was secretly encouraged by the local judicial department. We hope practitioners can provide more detailed information.

13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] The Fact of the Persecution of Female Practitioner Qu Fenglan and Her Family

Practitioners Ma Dexin (gender unknown) and mother Qu Fenglan from Xinchengzi District of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to validate the Fa and unfurled Dafa banners. They were escorted back to their local police station. Ma Dexin was sent to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Qu Fenglan was placed under such duress that her heart disease recurred. She was sent to Dadong Hospital by the police station and hospitalized. The police station required her children to bring them 2,000 Yuan. Finally her children handed in 200 Yuan to have their mother released from the hospital and sent back home. Because of the pressure and threats, the more than 70-year-old Qu Fenglan lost the ability to take care of herself. Since she has returned home, the street management committee of Qingshui Erjing Shuanlingba area of Xinchengzi District and the police station always send people to her home to urge her to move away. Their excuse is that her registered residency is not under the current local police station (Qu Fenglan's registered residency is under Guancheng Police Station of Shenyang City). But her family already bought the house. She and her family are harassed and threatened frequently.

14. [Fuyu County, Jilin Province] Public Security Bureau's Persecution of Dafa Practitioners

To fulfill the higher authorities' assigned quota during the "harsh measure against crime" period, Fuyu County Public Bureau adopted various illegal methods to arrest innocent Falun Gong practitioners from everywhere to meet the quota. They said brazenly, "Too much effort is needed to arrest those real criminals, but it is very easy to arrest you to help us meet the required quota."

Recently another group of practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong was escorted back. Policeman Wang from Caijiagou Police Station extorted more than 2,000 Yuan from practitioners while arresting them in Beijing. He had planned to spend the money on traveling and sightseeing.

Police from Politic and Security Department of Public Security Bureau and Xincheng Police Station arrested practitioners from their home without any legal process. Police Liu and Wang from Shiqiao Police Station illegally arrested two practitioners who were clarifying the truth of Dafa to people. The practitioners did not cooperate with the evil forces. The police forcefully dragged them to the police van and drove away. One practitioner tried to get away from them but was caught and returned to police.

Du Jizeng and Yu Xiangbin, the Chiefs of Public Security Bureau, Xu Shuxian, the section head of Politic and Security Department, physically and verbally abused practitioners. One female practitioner was beaten until she lost consciousness. But they still would not let her go. They dragged her on the ground on the way to the detention center. Her clothes, including her pants, were torn open.

Three practitioners were kidnapped on the train from Baicheng to Songyuan.

Guards in Fuyu County Detention Center are also quite vicious. They slandered Teacher and Dafa and brutally beat up Dafa practitioners. They used fabricated pictures to deceive criminals being held at the detention center. Dafa practitioners' personal things were stolen from their pockets as well.

Currently, Fuyu County Detention Center has sixteen or seventeen practitioners. Some practitioners have been held there for more than three months even though their original jail terms were completed. Some practitioners went on hunger strike many times to protest the illegal and brutal treatment. Instead of releasing these practitioners, the guards force-fed them. Now those practitioners are on a group hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.

The people from Politic and Security Department of Fuyu County' are seriously lacking in morality. They have taken advantage of the compassion and kindness of practitioners to extort money. Since July 22, 1999, they demanded every practitioner who went to Beijing to appeal to hand in a 5,000 Yuan fine. Whenever they arrest a Falun Gong practitioner, they say, "Money is coming."

To safeguard the truth of universe and eliminate evil forces, we cannot allow those vicious people to run rampant anymore. Let's send out righteous thought together: eliminate the old force's arrangement in Fuyu County, unconditionally release all imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners.

15. [Pindu City, Shandong Province] Police from Changle Police Station Forcefully Inject a Falun Gong Practitioner with Unknown Drug

On December 18, 2001, three female practitioners Chen Xiaoling, Xu Chunfang and Xiao Gao returned home after going to Beijing to validate Dafa. But they had been tailed by the police. As soon as they got home, five policemen from Changle Police Station broke in. Four policemen grabbed Chen Xiaoling's arms and twisted them behind her. They had injected an unknown drug between her fingers before they carried her to a police car and drove to Changle Police Station. Chen Xiaoling, Xu Chunfang and Xiao Gao are detained in Pindu Public Security Bureau. Xu Chunfang's husband had passed away. Their two lovely children, (one is 17 years old, the other is 9 years old) have been left home alone since their mother was taken away by the police.

We call for all the kind people to pay attention to their situation to assure their safety.

16. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] The Information of Perpetrators Who are Responsible for the Death of Female Practitioner Qu Junli

Qu Junli, 28 years old, female. Previously, she worked for Xiguan Heat and Power Plant in Chuanying District, Jilin City. On October 27, 2000, she went to Tiananmen in Beijing to appeal to the government to stop persecuting Falun Gong and was arrested. With Teacher's help, she got away from police using righteous thoughts. On December 3, 2000, she went to Beijing to validate Fa and was arrested again.
