Two hundred and nine people declared what they said and did against Falun Dafa while they were being brainwashed, threatened, deceived and tortured to be invalid. It was not what they intended to do. They will step up their efforts to make up for the damage done to Falun Dafa. They will maintain their firm belief in Falun Dafa and Teacher, do their best to clarify the truth and expose the evil, and be true practitioners.

Chen Hua, female, who played Little Ou Tao in the movie "In the Lane of Three Families," has been imprisoned along with her mother for practicing Falun Gong. She has been tortured to the point where her friend could barely recognize her. During her college years, her mother had an operation for breast cancer, but it did not help much. After her mother started practicing Falun Gong, she made a full recovery. Chen Hua also suffered from a form of hepatitis, which according to the doctor was "incurable". Once she took up Falun Gong, she has enjoyed good health ever since.

Remembering practitioner Lan Hongyu: Lan Hongyu, male, was first arrested when the Jiang regime started its persecution of Falun Dafa. Lan was handcuffed and hung up by his hands. He was also stripped and thrown outside to freeze in the winter. However, they were not able to break Lan's righteous thoughts towards Falun Dafa.

The fanatical brutality I witnessed at Wuhan City No. 1 Female Detention Center:

If any Dafa practitioner does the exercises, they would be hung up for at least half a month and as much as one to two months, no matter how young or old they were. The iron cuffs ate deep into their wrists. In addition, these practitioners have to endure brutal beatings. Vicious police officer Liu Li is especially fond of beating practitioners' mouths with iron handcuffs. Wang Li, a journalist from the Wuhan City Evening News was tortured for two months by having to suffer the "Dead Person's Bed." [the four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all; neither is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This treatment would last from several hours up to more than twelve days. This type of cruel torture causes severe physical and mental trauma]

A small incident [compared to countless brutalities] about Jiang's criminal group's persecution and mind poisoning of the Chinese people:

At 1 a.m. on December 30, 2001, Lei Yancheng, deputy director of the "610 Office" in Mengyin County, Shandong Province brought a group of thugs who loudly and furiously beat on the door of a Falun Dafa practitioner whose mother passed out from shock and fear. The practitioner's father was kidnapped and taken to a brainwashing class.

A 60-year-old woman tells of the suffering her family went through:

My husband and I began practicing Dafa in 1996 and all our illnesses disappeared. In December 2000, my husband, our daughter and I risked our lives and went to Beijing just to say, "Falun Dafa is good; restore my Teacher's reputation!" For that we were locked in iron cages in Tiananmen Police Department. My daughter and my husband were illegally sentenced to 2-1/2 years and six months of forced labor, respectively. My husband couldn't take the sudden, heavy blow and lost the ability to take care of himself. I cannot return home [to avoid illegal arrest].

How I was tortured at Beijing Huairou Detention Center: I was taken to a room with my hands tied behind my back. I was then beaten until my shirt was soaked with blood and I lost control of my bladder. After I collapsed against the wall, they put me in an iron cage, where they continued to beat and torture me. I was not allowed to sleep and was shocked in sensitive spots with electric batons. I have a patch of blisters on my face as a result of the shocks.

Practitioners from Huaibei City and Suixi City, please send forth righteous thoughts to thwart the police's effort to brainwash practitioners. Don't be fooled by the "610" Office [agency created specifically to persecute Falun Gong with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] We have a right to deny their entry to our homes without just cause.

Overseas News

We brought Falun Dafa literature to the area where the World Economic Forum held its activities. Journalists from various countries showed great interest in the materials. Many people accepted the pamphlets and the newsletter "Benevolence." A practitioner said to a journalist from South Africa that his positive report will help spread "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and it is a great thing to do. The journalist was moved to tears by the sight of practitioners quietly demonstrating the exercises in the cold.

Cultivation Stories

The wonderfulness that Dafa brought to me: I was born before the Cultural Revolution and both my parents were persecuted during the Cultural Revolution. By 1996, I had my own company and my own car. In 1997, I came to the U.S. to study. I often suffered from angina (chest pains due to heart problems). In March 1999, I got a copy of Zhuan Falun and read through the whole book. Two weeks later, my angina disappeared. I understood the principles of cultivation and I got rid of many bad habits.

In early December 2001, I went to Tiananmen Square by myself. I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the fear of being arrested and other warped notions, and completely opposed the arrangement of the old evil forces. I held high a Dafa banner in front of a group of tourists, and shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good! Return the reputation of my Teacher!" I then folded the banner and walked away. I suddenly enlightened to the deep meaning of benevolence and kindness.

Not long after she started to read Zhuan Falun, "Granny" Li saw spinning Falun, and illnesses that she had been suffering for many years completely disappeared. Seeing the miracle Dafa brought to Granny Li, many people also took the path of cultivation. People all know that Zhuan Falun is a heavenly book that Lord Buddha left for all human beings.
