We learned on March 18 that several practitioners were illegally detained in the No. 1 Detention Center of Changchun City. Visiting and bringing clothes to these practitioners are not allowed. The details of the persecution are still unknown. The police plan to secretly sentence these arrested practitioners. It is believed that some of the practitioners could not bear the torture and told the police names of other practitioners. As a result, more practitioners have been arrested. We hope all practitioners who have seen this message send forth righteous thoughts to help in obtaining the release of the detained practitioners.

After I was released from a forced labor camp, I clarified the truth to people around me for a long time. Although there were many difficulties, I firmly persisted in doing so. Recently, the practitioner was finally paid the 16-month salary that the work unit owed him/her (the 16-month period the practitioner was detained for appealing in Beijing). The practitioner used all the money (more than 10,000 Yuan) [Yuan: Chinese dollar. The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is about 500 Yuan, but only 200 Yuan for a rural worker.] to clarify the truth about Falun Gong.
4. [Beijing] Dafa Banners And Words Appear in a Chengyuan Residentiale Area in the Fengtai District
Around 4 AM on April 25, 2002, some practitioners hung 6 Dafa banners and wrote Dafa words near the road that leads to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp and Xinan Forced Labor Camp. The banners read "Falun Dafa is good," and the words were "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is a righteous cultivation way," "Return the clean reputation to Dafa," "Return the clean reputation to our Teacher," "Falun Dafa is suffering a great injustice," "Life needs 'Truth, Compassion, Forbearance,'" "Stop persecuting Falun Gong," "The self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square is a show directed by Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan." The banners and words are only about a mile from the labor camps.
5. [Jilin Province] Practitioners in Dehui City and Jiutai City Many Banners Are Hung Before World Falun Dafa Day
To celebrate World Falun Dafa Day (May 13) and express their sincere respect toward Teacher, Dafa practitioners in Dehui City and Jiutai City hung 19 banners around Dehui City and 10 in Jiutai City on May 8, 2002. The practitioners also distributed truth-clarifying fliers at the same time.
6. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] A 17-Year-Old Practitioner Is Beaten in Suihua Forced Labor Camp
Inside Suihua City Forced Labor Camp, a 17-year-old practitioner named Xu Minghong is illegally detained in Team No. 4 of the Second Group. One day in December 2001, Xu tore down the poster that slandered Dafa. Labor camp officer Zeng Lingjun, officer Li Jian, and a guard tortured Xu with electric batons for his action. Xu Minghong was tortured so badly that he cried out loud and bumped his head against a compartment, which caused his head to bleed. However, the police guards did not stop torturing him. After he returned to the cell, someone asked him if he had been tortured. Fearing that his fellow practitioners would get into trouble, Xu said no. He did not tell anyone about his experience of being tortured until December. His fellow practitioners were all indignant about the brutal torture of a 17-year-old child.

7. [Hebei Province] Three Dafa Practitioners Illegally Detained
A. After being illegally detained in the No. 2 Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City for 16 months, practitioner Lu Xinshu was transferred to Luquan Prison on April 11, 2002. On April 13, together with practitioner Liu Shuyuan (from Pingshan County), Lu was further transferred to Baoding Prison, where the persecutors forced them to watch videos that slandered Dafa. Two people who have "enlightened" along evil paths, Zhang Boyu (from Xinji City) and Zhang Jianzeng (from Shijiazhuang City), are trying to "reform" the two practitioners in the prison.

Tempted by huge bonuses (10,000 Yuan for arresting one practitioner), some police guards of Shijiazhuang Train Station rampantly arrest kind practitioners. Some guards have each arrested several practitioners, committing huge crimes.

Since some practitioners used the cable TV network to clarify the truth to people, the perpetrators in the city have been very afraid. They are carrying out a project to reform the cable TV network.
10. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] A Handicapped Practitioner Is Beaten And Illegally Detained
The "610" office and police department in Dongfeng County have been illegally arresting and detaining practitioners. Practitioner Peng Shenghua is a handicapped person. At the end of March 2002, the police illegally ransacked his home and arrested him. Treated the same as other practitioners, Peng was beaten. In order to arrest Peng's wife, the police held Peng as a hostage for over a month. When Peng's old mother went to the police department, asking them to release her son, the police said, "We won't release him until we arrest his wife." Other arrested practitioners include: Peng Shenghua, Chen Xuezhu, Liu Dianzhu, and several others whose names are unknown. One of the practitioners arrested was sentenced to 3 years in a forced labor camp. The practitioner has been sent to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. After Chen Xuezhu was arrested, he was brutally beaten by the police guards. Currently, Chen is still detained in Dongfeng County Detention Center.
11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Dafa Practitioner Man Hongyu And Piao Lianying Abducted by The Police
On the morning of April 27, 2002, some police guards from Changchun Police Department and Luyuan District Police Sub-department illegally broke into practitioner Man Hongyu's home. They ransacked Man's home and arrested him. At the time, another female practitioner Piao Lianying was at Man's home. Piao was also arrested. The two practitioners spoke out loud: "Falun Dafa is good, Falun Dafa is a righteous cultivation way." Many people around witnessed the abduction.
12. [Hubei Province] A Guard from Shayang Forced Labor Camp: "The Thugs Are in Charge Here!"
In the Third Group of Shayang Forced Labor Camp, over 100 Dafa practitioners are detained. They are tortured brutally everyday. In March 2002, practitioner Qiao Zuoquan, a worker at Jingmen City Spinning and Weaving Bureau, knocked his head against the wall to protest the inhuman torture he received from inmate Li Chengjie and guard Shen Yanming.
In order to force the practitioners to give in, the police guards in Shayang Forced Labor Camp use some hooligans to torture them. Even the guards said that in the labor camp, thugs were in charge.
13. [Hubei Province] A Practitioner Escapes from A Brainwashing Class, Shocking The Evil
A practitioner who works for the armed police escaped from a brainwashing class, which made the perpetrators in the armed police panic. They are desperately hunting for the practitioner. The practitioner is a doctor from an armed police hospital. He is also working on a Ph. D in Cardiology at Wuhan University. In year 2000, the practitioner was illegally detained in a forced labor camp for a year for clarifying the truth. After the practitioner was released, the perpetrators abducted him/her again to a brainwashing class on April 29, 2002. The practitioner did not cooperate with the evil and escaped.

On April 23, 24, and 25, the police of Benxi City relentlessly arrested practitioners. Some of the arrested practitioners escaped with the help of their righteous thoughts. Among the 34 practitioners arrested, three were illegally sent to a forced labor camp, and 27 were detained.

On April 27, 2002, police guard Mao from Haidian Police Station and some officials from the university community office arrested female practitioner Wang Guiju. Wang lives on campus, yet she has been forced to become homeless for 6 months to avoid being arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown now.
