The general public and some non-practitioner family members of Falun Dafa practitioners in an area of Jilin Province have sent their greetings to the Founder of Falun Gong. They did so upon becoming aware of the truth of Falun Gong and being saved from the lies being spread through the government propaganda. Just prior to the advent of the rectification of this human world, they have sincerely stated, "Greetings Master! We are grateful for all your hard work!"
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution Fails to Intimidate Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp
The Wanjia Forced Labor Camp at first puts on a benign mask toward Falun Dafa practitioners who are determined in cultivation. As time goes by, its wicked and cruel intent comes into full display. The police guards have made use of collaborators [former practitioners who have renounced Falun Dafa under extreme mental and physical pressure] to bring damage to Falun Dafa by spreading lies in an attempt to brainwash steadfast practitioners. They have also enticed those practitioners who have stronger attachments and therefore are less steadfast, with reduction of forced labor terms.
The prison guards are most afraid of practitioners sending forth the righteous thoughts by erecting the palm in front of the chest. As a last resort, the guards have focused on isolating individual practitioners used as "examples" to threaten further persecution. Later, a secret training session was held to torture Falun Dafa practitioners. On April 3, the first day of the training session, steadfast Falun Dafa practitioners went on a daylong hunger strike to protest. On April 5, after a talk with the head of the team, practitioners explained the reason for the hunger strike, and thus thwarted the plan of the evil forces.
The evil seems quite crazy, but how could this intimidate Falun Dafa practitioners, who are as solid as diamond? Persecution will only strengthen us.
3. [Bishan County, Sichuan Province] County Court Unjustly Puts Falun Dafa Practitioner on Trial -- Youth Witness Testifies that Police Coerced Testimonies through Violence and Threats
On April 20, 2002, the Bishan County Court unjustly put a Falun Dafa practitioner on trial. A teenage "witness" testified in the courtroom that the police had threatened to gouge out his eyes and apply other violent tortures against him in order to coerce testimony against other Falun Dafa practitioners. The teenager told the court that under pressure from these threats, he was forced to say a lot of things against his conscience. In the end the judge could not settle the case due to lack of evidence from witnesses.

4. [Chongqing Municipality] Followers of Jiang Go Unchecked in Arresting Falun Dafa Practitioners Prior to Jiang's Visit
It is reported that before Jiang arrived in Chongqing in May, the local police acted as if facing a serious threat. Starting the evening of May 21, secret arrests of Falun Dafa practitioners have been carried out, with searches of practitioners' homes conducted across districts and counties in Chongqing. In Jiangbei District alone, over a dozen practitioners were abducted from their homes, including: Li Zhangqun, Liu Tianshu, Huang Genhui (female), Peng Zhaojun (female), and others.
5. [Chongqing Municipality] Plan to Abduct Falun Dafa Practitioners to Brainwashing Classes during the AAPP Conference is Thwarted
It has been reported that Falun Dafa practitioners in the Chongqing area have completely negated the arrangement of the old forces and thwarted a police plan to round up practitioners for brainwashing sessions during the annual meeting of the Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace (AAPP). Some brainwashing classes had brought in only four people. In a large mining facility with tens of thousands of employees, only two Falun Dafa practitioners were found. One was abducted after the vicious policemen broke down the door. The other was forcibly taken to a forced labor camp after staff of the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] opened a door with a universal key.
6. [Southwestern China] Over 100 Falun Dafa Practitioners Successfully Hold a Fa Conference
In May, over one hundred Falun Dafa practitioners in southwestern China successfully held a Fa Conference. Before the conference, the practitioners sent out righteous thoughts as a group to eliminate interference and damaging factors from other dimensions. Supported and reinforced by the Teacher of Falun Gong, the Fa conference concluded successfully. Participants studied the newly published articles by the Teacher, exchanged experiences, and were all encouraged to continue practicing Falun Gong with greater confidence. Recently there have been quite a number of Fa conferences held in the southwestern provinces. Most of these conferences have had attendance ranging from ten to forty practitioners. Except for a dozen or so practitioners being arrested on May 9 as they sat in public in the lotus position with the palms erect, the other conferences have all concluded successfully.

Recently, Chongqing Maojiashan Female Labor Camp followed the direction of the 610 Office in giving orders to a large number of jail guards to conduct violent brainwashing on detained Dafa practitioners. Thugs commit cruel physical torture towards the practitioners who believe in "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance". Lu Yaming's legs were injured. Thugs committed the so-called "strict supervising," forbidding Dafa practitioners to see their family members during visit days. People do not know their situation at all.
8. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Xiao Zhuguang Is Arrested and Li Guirong Is Sentenced to Three Years' Forced Labor
Dafa practitioner Xiao Zhuguang, male, 39 years old, lives in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. On May 31, policemen arrested him in his work unit while clarifying the truth to people. Now he is detained in the Nanjiang police station. Another female practitioner was arrested with him. Later, police ransacked his home and his work place. Police forbid any people to see him in order to block the news. At present, Xiao Zhuguang's condition is not known. His child is only 17 months old.

9. [Shijiazhuang city, Hebei Province] Yao Baoli Is Beaten By Police
On May 21, Dafa practitioner Yao Baoli was reported to the police because she distributed Dafa materials. She was taken to Qingyuanjie police station. The police questioned her, but she did not cooperate nor reply to the questions. Consequently, the angry superintendent and director hit her. They cuffed her to a stone column for several hours and detained her for three days. They searched her house, taking away Dafa books and materials. Later, they pretended to be kind to Yao Baoli. They allowed her to contact her family and asked them to pick her up. In actuality, they wanted to achieve the goal of further persecuting her.
10. [China] Dafa Is Spreading Quietly in Temples and Buddhist Colleges
A student in a Buddhist college obtained the Fa in 2000. Later, he introduced Dafa to five of his classmates. He also keeps contact with the local practitioners and has the intention to be fully involved in the Fa rectification. Those students have now graduated and have been assigned to temples in a big city as Buddhist Masters. The light of Dafa will certainly illuminate there.

A judge wanted to sentence a Dafa practitioner to seven years in prison. The crime: he spoke aloud the phrase "Falun Dafa is Good" on Tiananmen Square. The practitioner's lawyer claimed that the case only applied to forced labor or one and a half years' imprisonment at most and should not be seven years. The judge responded that the verbal usage of the phrase "Falun Dafa is good" would reveal state secrets. Therefore, the seven-year sentence is justified because it was given according to the crime of revealing state secrets.
