Cases of Karmic Retribution

June 28, 2002

Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Li Changzeng, the former director of the Dongzhangbu Police Station in Feixiang County, Handan City of Hebei Province, received karmic retribution related to his extortion of money from Falun Dafa practitioners. He was discharged from public office and party membership in March 2002.

Chen Jiqiao, the former Deputy Director General of the Boyujuan District Port Office in Yingkou City of Liaoning Province, committed many crimes against Dafa practitioners. He illegally fined five Dafa practitioners more than 20,000 Yuan RMB (approximately 40 months salary for an average urban worker) in June 2001. In less than three months, he suddenly ran into problems, which were a result of karmic retribution for his past bad deeds. He was fined 100,000 Yuan for drunk driving and causing a traffic accident.

Song Weiping was the director of a police station in Jingyan County, Sichuan Province. In July 2001, she participated in the anti-Falun Gong parade in Leshan City, serving as the vanguard that held the flag. After she came back, she developed sudden hair loss and breast cancer. Xie Renfang was a policeman from the Mata Police Station in Jingyan County, Sichuan Province. He participated in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. As a result, he suffered from diabetes and his son broke his thigh bone.

One afternoon in early June 2002, a deafening clap of thunder exploded in the sky above Dai Village, Jining City and struck the corner of the south building of the Jining City Detention Center. The policemen were shocked and stared at each other in fear, murmuring, "There must be ghosts here who have been wrongly accused. It looks like Falun Gong will come soon!" The policemen who directly participated in persecuting Falun Gong were even more fearful. They worried about facing immediate karmic retribution.
