News and Activities Around the World

Central News Agency, June 27: Since last week, the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong SAR government has blocked the entry of six Falun Gong practitioners who had traveled from around the world. A spokesperson for Falun Gong in Hong Kong said that the Hong Kong authorities have a list of Falun Gong practitioners and that the authorities, whenever they please, refuse to let practitioners enter Hong Kong.

Open letter to people of Hong Kong (from The Association of Australians in Support of Falun Gong Practitioners' Right to Practice): The China Liaison Authorities in Hong Kong, in conjunction with the Hong Kong police, have attempted to frame 16 Falun Gong practitioners. The Hong Kong police have violated Hong Kong's spirit of autonomy and the principles of the Basic Law (laws to ensure Hong Kong's autonomy during and after its return to China in 1999), and the police have tarnished Hong Kong's human rights record. While the Jiang regime continues its notorious crackdown of Falun Gong, Hong Kong people: please ask your government not to risk the future of Hong Kong--ask your government to withdraw the lawsuit against the innocent Falun Gong practitioners and to release them from custody.
