Largest Storm in Five Hundred Years Hits Yan'an, Shan'xi Province; Typhoon Takes Six Lives in Shanghai

(Clearwisdom.net) News of widespread flooding in China is being reported with increasing frequency. Both Shan'xi Province and Shanghai have recently been affected by severe weather conditions. In Shanxi Province north of Yan'an City, Zichang County was hit by the largest storm in five hundred years. The storm resulted in five deaths, two missing, and nine miners trapped, ultimately affecting the lives of over 30,000 people.

Typhoon Weimaxun recently brought heavy rains to Shanghai causing accidents that led to six deaths and 44 people injured.
