(Clearwisdom.net) This is a story of how I clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to an artist friend.

This artist has lots of knowledge in dealing with life and people, is good to his friends, and is proud of his achievement. I always wanted to clarify the truth to him. When one has a heart willing to clarify the truth, opportunities naturally come up. When I was chatting with him, our topic would often turn to Falun Gong and I would take the opportunity to clarify some facts.

I noticed that in the beginning, he would listen; however, he always wanted to argue with me in the end and would not accept my words. Later I found out that another practitioner, his acquaintance, once told him, "Please practice Falun Gong. It will upgrade your level." These simple words made him very angry, even furious, since it hurt his dignity.

One day, he came to visit. We were preparing the "The Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition and I had placed the pictures in my living room temporarily. I showed and explained the pictures to him: Dafa's spreading in China, the Chinese government's awards and support before the persecution of Dafa, Dafa's spreading throughout the world, the brutal persecution, and the proclamations around the world. Without any intention, I talked about more than one hundred pictures. He changed his talkative habit; my friend was quiet and intermittently asked some questions. After listening to each of my answers, he would think about it for a while and would nod. When I was asked about why Jiang's regime persecutes Falun Gong, I thought that he might not be able to understand "evil force" and so I gave him some reasons that I thought he might be able to understand. Surprisingly, he thought about it for a while and told me, "Your answer does not convince me." I was stunned, since I sincerely answered all of his questions except this one. What I really wanted to say was: Because, Jiang is controlled by the evil force in the universe. I again communicated with my friend from a sincere heart: "I told you some other people's answers just for your reference. I also want to ask Jiang why he persecutes Falun Gong. Actually, if you have time to read Zhuan Falun, you can find the answer yourself." He nodded, "Ah, that is reasonable."

When we were finishing viewing the pictures, he said, "You know Falun Gong--I don't. It is good that you tell me nicely like this. Although I can't attend the exhibition, I think that it will be successful." In that moment, I saw peace on his face and kindness in his eyes. I was moved and deeply felt the power of "Compassion." At that moment, the Buddha's light showered me and everything around me.

Later, my mother told me that he borrowed a Zhuan Falun from her before he left.

Then, I heard that the artist told his Chinese clients the truth about the staged self-immolation. The artist called his old friend in China and advised him not to follow the current trend, that it would not be good for him. Afterward, the Chinese friend said that he applied to be transferred out of the news department.

Several days ago, the artist told me that he could not continue reading Zhuan Falun since he felt that some things said in the book contradicted each other. Considering his strong self-esteem, I said that some people I knew also had the same feeling when they just started to read the book. However, after reading the book several times, they realized that it was their initial understandings that were wrong. He thought about it and said, "This is possible." Then he said that because a Falun Gong practitioner's words and behavior had been inconsiderate, one of his American friends who was interested in Falun Gong complained to him about Falun Gong. He told his friend, "Regardless, you cannot say that Falun Gong is not good. Can you blame Jesus when a Christian does something wrong?"

When clarifying the truth well, not only can we let people in the world know the truth about Falun Gong sufficiently, but those people who learn the truth will contribute their efforts to the righteous force and help us to repair some damage.

My experience of telling the truth to my artist friend enabled me to realize the power of a sincere heart. When telling the truth considering people's looks, age, occupations, or background, I cannot achieve any effect since a human cannot change a human. When I do not have prejudices and just wholeheartedly provide my sincere words, people can accept every one of my words, since Dafa will manifest its power when I am purified enough to be a particle of the Fa.
