The following is a series of cartoons drawn by a practitioner in China. This is an example of the practitioners' using their wisdom and compassion to clarify the truth in creative ways to everyone, utilizing any way necessary to reach as many people as possible.

1. After so much turmoil and suffering, the world wanted nothing more than peace and harmony. Over the ages, the people have come to yearn for a more peaceful and happier world to live in.

2. Falun Gong was introduced to the public by its founder in May 1992. Teacher Li traveled to the major cities of China for the next two and a half years, tirelessly teaching the Fa to people. Thus Falun Gong quietly yet quickly spread all over China.

3. Meanwhile, a tyrant named Jiang Zemin rose to power in China. Through endless scheming and plotting, he finally attained the power that he always coveted.

4. Jiang had a Magic Mirror that would answer the questions dearest to his heart. One day, fearfully thinking about anyone that might take away his power, he asked the mirror, "Oh Magic Mirror, who has the heart of the Chinese people?" The Magic Mirror answered, "Falun Gong."

5. Jiang was shocked, "Falun Gong? Never heard of it!" He was deflated, and even though everyone knew that Falun Gong teaches people to be good and kind, he didn't believe it and was stricken with fear and paranoia -- he told the high-level officials secretly: "We must stamp out Falun Gong!"

6. The local officials knew that Falun Gong improves people's health, raises their morality, stabilizes society, and even saves the country so much on medical bills. So they just paid Jiang some lip service and didn't really plan on giving practitioners a hard time.

Words in the cartoon: "Don't worry -- we won't make trouble for you -- go ahead and practice!"

7. "Oh Magic Mirror, who has the heart of the Chinese people?" The Magic Mirror gave the same answer, "Falun Gong." Jiang was furious: "So they won't comply huh? Then I'll just have to go all out, right in the open, then we'll see if they dare to defy me!"

Jiang: "I just can't stand it anymore!"

8. So he forced all the government organizations to slander and denounce Falun Gong, using radio, TV, and newspapers to lie endlessly. He even tried to get Interpol to arrest the founder of Falun Gong.

People's Daily: Listen up! According our country's leaders, Falun Gong is illegal, starting right now!

On the right side: Really? Is it like what they say?

9. Of course, nobody in other countries listened to him. In fact, more and more people outside China started to practice Falun Gong.

10. The tyrant thought he had won, "Falun Gong will undoubtedly go away, and the hearts of the Chinese people will be all mine!"

Words in the picture: Heh heh, now nobody will dare to practice Falun Gong again!

11. So he asked the Magic Mirror again, "Oh Magic Mirror, who has the heart of the Chinese people?" The Magic Mirror replied, "Yes, many people were fooled by you, but so many practitioners are going to Beijing, I'm afraid your lies are going to be exposed soon..."

Mirror: "If you don't believe me, just take a look for yourself..."

12. After July 20, 1999, many practitioner exercised their Constitutional right to appeal -- they went to Tiananmen Square, their local government agencies, etc, all just to let everyone know what the truth really was.

13. Jiang threw the kind Falun Gong practitioners into jails and labor camps, and fed lies to foreign journalists. But in a suburb of Beijing on October 26, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners secretly held their first press conference in China in front of foreign journalists, letting the world know the truth about Falun Gong.

14. Over the following weeks, months, and years, Falun Gong practitioners faced countless tribulations with peacefulness and compassion. They tirelessly clarified the truth to the world through their words and actions.

Practitioner being tried in court: "Dafa practitioners are innocent, and Dafa is the righteous Fa."

People in the audience: "I had a co-worker that went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. He got beaten so badly by the police, now I think he was sent to a labor camp!" "It's such a shame to do this to such good people!"

15. Jiang was petrified. Even though he'd fooled the public for now, he wasn't anywhere close to destroying Falun Gong like he thought he could. He was deathly afraid of his lies being exposed and what would happen to his precious power. Realizing that he'd painted himself into a corner, Jiang lost what little rationality he had left and went into a frenzy.

Jiang: "I'll fight to the bitter end!"

16. He mobilized everything imaginable: the media, the army, the police, spies, and poured enormous amounts of resources in persecuting Falun Gong. The result was an unprecedented evil wave of terror that swept up everyone in its path.

"OK, everyone charge! Radio, TV, newspapers, military police, public security bureaus, special agents, everyone!"

17. Jiang even revived a vile scheme dating back to the dynasties, implicating everyone associated with a practitioner. Family members are subjected to imprisonment and fines, while even work unit supervisors, residential committee members and local public security officers are fired and prevented from working at state enterprises if Falun Gong practitioners in their areas go to appeal. Countless practitioners were imprisoned, sentenced to forced labor camps without trial, and even sent to mental hospitals.

Jiang: In the Qin Dynasty, the Yongzhong Emperor used a scheme to punish a person's entire family -- now I'm going to take it even further! I'm going to encourage the police to do their worst against Falun Gong, and even if they beat the Falun Gong practitioners to death, they can just count it as suicide! There's no way this will fail!"

18. They came up with the most insidious plot of all. On January 23, 2001, Jiang and his underlings staged a self-immolation on Tiananmen Square to turn public opinion against Falun Gong

Tiananmen Headquarters: "OK, we're ready, go ahead!"

TV crew: "Hey, what a great shot!"

19. So the carefully planned plot went forward to frame Falun Gong practitioners and to depict them as committing group suicide. Five fake practitioners lit themselves on fire, but little did they know that they weren't all going to be "saved" by the police as planned. On the video footage publicized by the Chinese authorities themselves, one of the people was clearly struck on the head by a policeman while she was on fire.

"Help, hurry up!"

20. Not long after, people started pointing out obvious fallacies in the story. Especially in the West where people can see what kind of people Falun Gong practitioners are, the staged episode is totally unbelievable.

So many questions: Was that lady committing suicide or was she murdered? How could the girl sing in the hospital just days after having emergency tracheotomy? How come the picture of one of the self-immolators, Wang Jindong, that are provided by CCTV don't match what he looks like on the video at all? How come the supposed Falun Gong practitioner is sitting in the wrong position and with his hands joined the wrong way?

21. Besides his endless propaganda in China, Jiang went all over the world to slander Falun Gong, making a spectacle of himself.

While Jiang spews gibberish in front of world leaders everywhere, bystanders are wondering how the leader of a great country can act so shamelessly.

22. Ignoring Jiang's lies, more and more people around the world began to practice Falun Gong and follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Teacher Li was even nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Meanwhile, Jiang was exposed for the paranoid tyrant that he is.

23. Jiang also tried to keep the news of many people in the West practicing Dafa from leaking into China. But on November 20, 2001, 36 Western practitioners went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Gong, shocking many Chinese people who did not previously know the truth.

"Falun Dafa is the Righteous Fa" -- "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance"

24. In China, the people gradually started to realize that they'd been fooled and Falun Dafa truly is good. They saw clearly Jiang's paranoid, frenzied state, and when contrasted with the practitioners' compassionate, peaceful behavior, the people began to understand.

While Jiang's regime tried to cover up everything, Falun Gong practitioners freely and openly answered any questions that the people wanted to ask, using every opportunity to clarify the truth.

25. After exhausting himself in trying in vain to destroy Falun Gong, Jiang asked the Magic Mirror, "What's the situation now?" The Mirror replied, "Your lies were all foiled, and people all over the world are welcoming Falun Gong. They all know that you're an evil dictator."

Even Jiang knows that things are about to come to an end, and it's too late for regret.

26. In the end, when Fa-rectification reached the human world, the truth was revealed for all to see. Everyone realized that in the end, good will always triumph over evil.
