Karmic Retribution: Official Who Slandered Dafa Dies in a Car Accident

Oct. 15, 2003

The Wang Shoulan Social Assistance Center (a place for senior citizens and orphans) is a "well known" center in Changchun City, Jilin Province. After the Jiang regime began to persecute Falun Gong, Wang Shoulan did not hesitate to slander Dafa whenever possible. He thought he could thus please his superiors and advance his own interests. During the 2003 Chinese New Year, Wang Shoulan led a team to Beijing, where he cursed and defamed Dafa and Teacher.

On September 19, 2003, Wang and his driver were involved in a deadly car accident, in which Wang Shoulan died and the driver suffered a bone fracture.

We sincerely hope that people can distinguish between good and evil. We hope that they do not betray their conscience in any way, particularly for nothing more than a short-lived benefit. We hope that they do not exchange their long-term future for short-term fame and gain.

[Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.]
