Details of the Persecution of Dafa Practitioners at Daqing City Oil Field Company's No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant

Dec. 7, 2003

(Clearwisdom.net) Since Jiang's regime began the persecution of Falun Gong began, lawless officials from Daqing City Oil Field Company's No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant have forced Dafa practitioners to attend various brainwashing classes. Those practitioners who refused to give up their belief, faced persecution by means of fines, extortion, salary and bonus deductions, forced brainwashing, detention, forced labor and prison sentences. The persecution was also extended to practitioners' relatives. The following are accounts of Dafa practitioners being persecuted at the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant of Daqing City Oil Field Company.

1. Mr. Zhang Xingye is a former Oil Extraction Plant employee. Because of his belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and striving to be a good person, he was forced to retire earlier than expected. Mr. Zhang was abducted by personnel from the Plant and the Sa District's Yongjun Police Station, Daqing City. On November 15, 2002, the Honggang District Court secretly and illegally sentenced him. The Court could not show any criminal activity on the part of Mr. Zhang and did not follow any legal procedure. Conforming to the provincial regulations on Falun Gong, Mr. Zhang was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The staff of the court could not help telling Dafa practitioners, "We don't want to do this. Your case was already decided by the provincial authorities." Zhang Xingye was thus illegally imprisoned in Daqing City Prison.

Zhang Xingye's wife, Chen Xiuli, was abducted around April 12, 2002 by the Sa District Police Department. The police of the Political and Security Section even nailed sharp bamboo slivers into her fingers and tried in vain to "transform" her by means of this torture. Due to Ms. Chen's persistence in practicing Falun Dafa, she was sent to Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center for further persecution.

Zhang Xingye had been previously abducted by the police on the evening of April 18, 2002. After severe torture, he was sent to the Daqing City Detention Center and was illegally detained there for further persecution. Because of his illegal sentence, Mr. Zhang's teenage daughter is now living with her grandparents.

During the latter part of March 2003, Zhang Xingye's family made strong efforts to visit him in prison. Due to the persecution he suffered, Zhang Xingye had to be carried out by other prisoners. Daqing City Prison is notorious for persecuting practitioners; Dafa practitioner Yu Yongquan was tortured to death there on March 8, 2003. On New Year's Eve of 2002, in order to force Dafa practitioners to give up their belief, the persecutors tore up Mr. Zhang's clothes, stripped him naked, and two other prisoners carried him around, humiliating him and torturing his body. He was frozen near an open window with cold and harsh winds at a temperature of -13o Centigrade [8.6o Fahrenheit] for three days and nights. As a result, Mr. Zhang went into coma.

2. Ms. Tang Zengye is a former accountant at the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant. In November 2000, her employer transferred her away from her accounting position and forced her into early retirement in order to pressure Ms. Tang into renouncing her belief in Falun Dafa.

Due to her practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Tang suffered tortures from both her employer and the police. On March 1, 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, but was taken back by the Daqing City police. She was detained in the Sa District Detention Center and threatened with extortion of 10,000 yuan [500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] by Xiao Yong, head of the No. 3 Daqing City Oil Extraction Plant Police Station, and by a policeman named Yao Hongtao. On June 18, 2000, because of her practicing Falun Gong in the Daqing City Oil Management Bureau, Ms. Tang was abducted and sent to the Daqing City Detention Center, where she was threatened with extortion of more than 600 yuan by a guard named Feng. On July 3, 2001, Ms. Tang was again abducted and sent to the Daqing City Detention Center. The chief of the Political and Security Section at the Sa District Police Station, Dong Fenglin, led several people to ransack and burglarize her rented room. The stolen goods included more than 6,000 yuan in cash, more than 2,000 yuan in bank deposits, a computer, 6 cell phones, 5 beepers, 3 leather bags, and some jewelry that practitioners planned to sell in order to meet the expenses of truth-clarification work. No receipt or legal procedure was given. On April 17, 2002, Ms. Tang was taken away by plainclothes police while clarifying the truth, and was sent to the Sa District Police Station. They took away her leather bag, cell phone, beeper and more than 1,000 yuan in cash. Once again, no receipt was given and no legal procedure was followed. On that same day Ms. Tang was sent to the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center for further persecution. There she was tortured to the brink of death. After more than 7,000 yuan was extorted from her, Ms. Tang was released on bail for hospital treatment.

3. Ms. Cai Xiaoyan is a former employee of the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant. Due to her not giving up cultivation in Falun Dafa she was forced to retire early. Ms. Cai was abducted by her employer and the police when she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong for the first time. She was then illegally detained at the Sa District Detention Center for twenty days. In March 2000, 4,000 yuan were extorted from her by the Daqing City Comprehensive Management Office. The second time Ms. Cai went to Beijing to appeal, she was abducted and sent to Beijing's Dongzhimen Police Station and was slapped in the face by the police. Her face was swollen by the slap and her nose was bleeding. Ms. Cai's employer, together with the police, abducted her and sent her to the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant Police Station. Using her wits she was able to escape from the den of evil but had to become homeless and destitute in order to avoid being arrested from her home. In November 2000, Ms. Cai was threatened with extortion of 2,000 yuan by the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant. In December 2000, the Daqing City "610 office"* extorted 4,000 yuan from her. The relentless persecution from her employer and the police caused Ms. Cai to become homeless and destitute on several occasions. Ms. Cai's husband suffered from unbearable mental burdens related to the persecution against his wife, and became severely ill. Her husband died in early 2003. At present, Cai Xiaoyan has no income but she still has to support her child so her child can have a high school education.

4. Ms.Wang Yulian, now retired, is a former affiliated employee of the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant. Because she didn't give up her practice of Falun Gong, she suffered all kinds of persecution, torture and financial extortion by the company and the police.

On June 18, 2000, Ms. Wang participated in a group practice at a garden in front of the Administration Bureau, and was therefore taken away by the company and Daqing City's Sa District Yongjun Police Station. On June 19, 2000, she was sent to the Sa District Detention Center where she was illegally detained for two months. On June 18, 2000, Yu Xijun and Wang Guangwen of the Sa District's Yongjun Police Station extorted 200 yuan in cash from her and also took her watch. They even took away her daily necessities such as soap, toilet paper and toothpaste. On December 17, 2000, Ms. Wang went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. But while unfolding a banner to validate Dafa, she was arrested. She was sent to the Beijing Railway Station Front Police Station. From there she was sent to the Pinggu County Detention Center, and she was then sent to the Pinggu County Police Department. On December 23, 2000, Ms. Wang was taken in by the Daqing City Liaison office in Beijing. On December 25, 2000, she was again taken to the Sa District's Yongjun Police Station. The police extorted 4,000 yuan for "expenses," but later they returned 200 yuan to her. On December 25, 2000, the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant affiliate, Wang Zhanxue, extorted 3,790 yuan from Ms. Wang.

Many Dafa practitioners in the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant, including Mao Yisu, Xu Jiping, Yang Huagui, Zhao Chengxiao, Gao Xiulan, Ji Songmei, Yang Jishun, Li Shuzhen and Song Liying, have suffered all sorts of persecution and tortures. These included fines, financial extortion, being deprived of salaries, bonuses and other related benefits, forceful brainwashing, detention and forced labor.

Good will be rewarded with good and bad will be punished. The following cases of karmic retribution in Daqing City should awaken the vicious people who persecute Falun Dafa:
