What Should We Do Before Going to Geneva?

This year's United Nations Human Rights Conference is about to begin. Many of us are getting ready for another trip to Geneva. We have been attending the conference for the last few years, so are there any new requirements for us this time?

In the past few years, the United States government repeatedly proposed resolutions condemning the human rights conditions in China, yet not all other governments were willing to support them. In fact, every country around the world knows that the human rights conditions under Jiang's regime are terrible. Money, however, has prevailed so far. Jiang's regime has been using economical and political interests to influence many countries. This tactic has stopped protest and condemnation from the international community in this setting.

Falun Dafa practitioners from all over the world have repeatedly gone to Geneva. In the beginning, we assembled in the public square and practiced our exercises under the sun or in the rain, which demonstrated our firm belief in the characteristics of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Later on, we got in touch with the non-governmental organizations (NGO) in different countries and helped them to understand the evil nature of the persecution. As a result, the NGOs were willing to uphold justice, and they raised the issue of the persecution of Falun Dafa at the UN Human Rights Conference.

If practitioners from different countries can do well in clarifying the truth to their own governments, so that individual governments are willing to condemn the persecution of innocent people by Jiang's regime, then any country that is upholding justice will not be afraid of the evil. Furthermore, the governments of such countries will not feel that they are alone in supporting Falun Dafa. Only then can a resolution condemning the human rights violations of Jiang's regime be submitted and passed.

Therefore, we should do this work well before going to Geneva. We will then truly be "In control of Heaven and Earth, rectifying the human realm." (The Foretelling). This type of work requires us to have strong righteous thoughts as a whole.

Three years have passed. If we are still putting our energy into only activities such as group exercise and parades, then we may be limiting ourselves.

This is my personal understanding presented in the hope that others will speak out on this topic. Please correct any inappropriate thinking.
