July 27, 2003

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 22, Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world rallied on the U.S. Capitol Hill to call on people from all walks of life to support justice. A number of U.S. Senators and Representatives came to express their support. Below is a letter of support to the rally from US Senator Christopher Bond.

June 18, 2003

Dear Falun Dafa Practitioners:

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen of the Falun Dafa Community. Congratulations on carrying on the principles and values on which Falun Dafa is based. Today you gather to rally against the persecution of the civil rights of your fellow practitioners in China. Residing in the United States you are fortunate to practice Falun Dafa and your beliefs free of persecution. Unfortunately, many of your fellow practitioners do not have that same freedom.

Your commitments to those who face persecution for their faith in the Falun Dafa and your dedication to this practice of self-improvement do not go unnoticed. Your strong principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance are evident in the people who you have touched world wide.

Human rights is an important issue that the U.S., and government all over the world face. Earlier this year I submitted remarks in the Congressional Record regarding my support to the defense against the violations of basic human rights many of your fellow practitioners have faced. The Falun Dafa community along with the U.S. Government and efforts of the UN, have tackled issues of Human rights violations together, and will continue to do so.

While people's human rights are still being violated across the globe, it is the joint efforts that you make that help to achieve the freedom of belief, and expression, as well as, the deserved respect in the international community that are so important to us all.

Again congratulations in all of your achievements in the pursuit of spiritual, mental, and physical self-improvement.

Sincerely,

Christopher S. Bond
