Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Yang Mingxia from Maoming, Guangdong Province Passed Away in May, 2004 as a Result of the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yang Mingxia, 49 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner in Changqian Village, Qijing Town of Maoming City, Guangdong Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1997.

Jiang's faction has cruelly persecuted Falun Gong since July 20, 1999. Ms. Yang Mingxia persevered in cultivating Falun Gong's principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." She was a determined practitioner and never followed the orders of the perpetrators of the persecution.

In 2001 Ms. Yang was arrested and sent to the First Detention Center in the Dianbai District. Later she was sent to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province for three years of forced labor. She suffered from severe physical tortures and spiritual abuse in the labor camp. Ms. Yang was released in January 2004 and went home. The head of the town's "610 Office," Yang Ming, and police from the local police station often monitored, harassed and threatened Ms. Yang. As a result, four months later, in May 2004, Ms. Yang Mingxia passed away.
