New York: Police Treat Practitioners Well in Manhattan (Photos)

Nov. 23, 2004 |   By a Chinese Falun Dafa practitioner living outside China

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners have been holding anti-torture exhibitions for several months in Manhattan, the busiest area of New York City, and the world's financial capital. More and more people at Manhattan gradually understand about the facts.

A police officer on duty stood at a distance and looked at the anti-torture photos. I went over and greeted him. I asked him if he knew about what had happened in China. When I told him that Falun Gong practitioners in China are suffering the Jiang faction's ruthless persecution simply because they practice the exercise and try to be good people, and at least 1000 practitioners were tortured to death, he was shocked.

I said that in China, police officers just like you were deceived by Jiang and blindly follow Jiang to torture Falun Gong practitioners for the sake of self-interests and money. However in the U.S., I continued, more and more American people including police officers take the initiative to learn about the facts of the persecution experienced by Falun Gong practitioners. Some people even asked us what they could do to help us.

While I was talking, he constantly nodded to show his agreement. In the end, he said, "You should overthrow Jiang's control." I told him that the purpose we conduct anti-torture exhibitions here is to allow more people to be aware of the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong and work with us to stop this persecution of kind people which should never exist as soon as possible.

I said that I hope you would tell these facts to your family members, friends and all people you acquaint. In the end, I said, "If you will, you could sign the petition in support of our appeal." He said, "No problem, I'll sign it now."
