Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Rally on International Human Rights Day To Demand that Jiang, Luo, Liu and Zhou Be Brought to Justice (Photos)

Dec. 14, 2004 |   By a practitioner from Russia

(Clearwisdom.net) December 10, 2004 was International Human Rights Day. On December 11, despite the extremely cold weather, Falun Gong practitioners from Moscow set up display posters and banners and held a live anti-torture exhibition along Peace Street, which is opposite the National Economic Development Museum in Moscow. The banners read in both Chinese and Russian, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance", "Falun Dafa is great", "Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Zhou Yongkang and Liu Jing to Justice", "Immediately end the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China".

The posters and huge banners exhibited about 100 methods of tortures employed by the Jiang regime in the persecution of Falun Gong. Although it was very cold, practitioners still wore thin clothing to simulate the tortures.

Passersby included Moscow residents, Chinese people and people from other countries. During the 3-hour activity, practitioners handed out a great amount of truth-clarifying materials. Many people stopped and carefully studied the exhibition. The facts of the persecution endured by practitioners in China deeply touched people's hearts. A middle-aged woman attentively viewed each of the posters and took some truth-clarifying materials. She read them while walking. She turned back after she reached the subway station. She asked some questions to practitioners and asked for more information. She signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution and then left. A young couple took the initiatives to sign the petition and ask for the materials after they viewed the banners and posters.

Some people did not accept the materials at first, but actively took the materials after they viewed all truth-clarifying posters. Although some people passed by in a hurry, they nodded to show their support after they saw the banners. Some practitioners went onto buses and handed the drivers truth-clarifying materials. Some drivers honked their horns to express their support.
