Czech Republic: Falun Gong Practitioners Expose the Persecution on World Human Rights Day (Photos)

Dec. 21, 2004 |   By a practitioner from the Czech Republic

(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday, December 11, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners held truth-clarification activities in downtown Prague, the capital of Czech Republic. The activities were planned to allow people to learn about and pay attention to the Jiang regime's genocidal persecution of Falun Gong in China that has lasted for more than five years. December 10 was World Human Rights Day, providing a good opportunity to hold the event.

Many people stopped to look at the posters and asked many questions. For instance, "Why are they persecuted?" Practitioners then related to them the wide spread of Falun Gong in China and how Jiang's faction launched the suppression out of jealousy of the large popularity of practitioners who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. Practitioners also told people that millions of practitioners have been illegally detained, imprisoned or mistreated by Chinese police. Human rights activists have verified and recorded 38,000 cases of mistreatment or torture. People are living under tremendous pressure. Jiang intended to eradicate Falun Gong and issued the order that "Falun Gong practitioners who are killed are counted as suicides." Jiang's group abused state-run media to defame Falun Gong and block information about worldwide appeals for an end to China's human rights violation, as well as information about the many lawsuits filed around the world against Jiang and his accomplices.

A great number of people showed interest in learning Falun Gong and asked about detailed information of local practice sites. All exercise instruction classes are free of charge. Practitioners teach the exercises voluntarily. Many people were amazed by the great benefits practitioners have obtained in improving their physical and mental health as well as their family relationship.
