(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 20, 1999, when the Jiang regime began persecuting Falun Gong, more than twenty practitioners at Hubei Industrial College have suffered a variety of severe abuses. The following are some of their experiences:

1. Han Jun, admitted in 1998, was a student in the Food Department. His moral character and grades were excellent. Because he practiced Falun Gong exercises in public in October 1999, the college security agents arrested him and seriously beat him. They also ransacked his dorm room. In March 2000, they again arrested him without reason and beat him up. They also restricted his personal freedom. After Han Jun went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, he was arrested in Beijing and subsequently expelled from the college.
2. Zhang Junhua, admitted in 1998, was a student in the Industrial Chemistry Department. He had excellent grades and was known to be sincere and kind. Because he had practiced Falun Gong exercises outdoors in October 1999, the college security agents beat him up and ransacked his dorm room. They also suspended him from school for a period of time. In November 2001, police from the Nanhu Police Station seized him again and detained him for half a month because he refused to renounce his belief in Falun Gong. In December 2001, he was detained for one month in the Nanhu Police Station. Later, officials of the college expelled him.
3. Huang Huanwen worked at Hubei Industrial College. In March 2000, agents from the college security department and police from the Nanhu Police Station arrested him without reason and detained him for half a month. In March 2002, they arrested him again and detained him for one month. He lost his job at the restaurant and was expelled from the college by the College Security Department.
4. Xiong Jianjun was a teacher in the Civil Engineering Department. Security agents pressured him many times to renounce Falun Gong. He had to flee in March 2003 when he learned that security agents planned to force him into the provincial brainwashing class.
5. Zhang Huaping was a teacher in the college library. His home was ransacked many times, and his freedom was constantly restricted. In August 2000, police from the Nanhu Police Station arrested him at home and beat him up without reason. In November 2001, Nanhu police ransacked his home and harassed him again. In February 2002, they detained him for one month at the Nanhu Police Station. In 2002, some people on the Hubei Industrial College Committee changed Mr. Zhang's 2001 performance evaluation from "qualified" (which had been the assessment of the staff as well as the head of the library) to "unqualified." Consequently, his salary was suspended for one month and he was ineligible to apply for a technical post title for three years. In June 2002, the College Security Department abducted Mr. Zhang and incarcerated him in the provincial brainwashing center where he experienced torture for over one month. Because of the torture, he was mentally unstable for a long time after he was released.

The above accounts do not begin to cover the severity of the persecution that Falun Dafa practitioners have suffered at the Hubei Industrial College.

Those who have persecuted Falun Gong practitioners are suffering karmic retribution. Yang Shihong, the former director of the Wuhan Police Department, is in jail and will be tried for financial misconduct. Tang Zemin, the head of the Jiangxia District Daqiao Police Station, died in an accident in 2003. Police officer Wang Anhe, of the Hanyang District brainwashing class, used to beat Falun Dafa practitioners. In October 2001, when he snatched an article written by Teacher away from practitioners, he immediately experienced hypertension and had a heart attack. Several days later, he suffered an accident after work.
