World Daily: Falun Gong Practitioners Strongly Protest Bo Xilai's Visit to U.S. (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net, April 25, 2004) World Daily reported on April 23: Friends of Falun Gong and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong held a press conference in Washington DC to condemn Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai who is visiting the U.S. with Vice Premier Wu Yi. When Bo was governor of Liaoning province, he brutally persecuted Falun Gong and severely violated human rights. These two organizations requested the U.S. government to deport Bo Xilai.

The press conference was held in the park in front of Chinese Embassy in the U.S. Falun Gong practitioners displayed banners and posters, while a member of Friends of Falun Gong, Court, hosted the rally and read a statement to explain the record of Liaoning Province in the persecution of Falun Gong.

In March 9, the two organizations jointly submitted a detailed report of the persecution of Falun Gong and a list of 100 human rights violators that were most heavily involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China to U.S. Department of State and Department of Homeland Security, Bo Xilai was on the list.

The statement said, in accordance with Section 212(a)(2)(G) of the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 (IRFA), any foreign government officials who have engaged in particularly severe violations of religious freedom in the past 24 months, and their spouses and children, are inadmissible to the United States. Bo Xilai took the post of Chinese Minister of Commerce in this February.
