(Clearwisdom.net) I attended the 2003 Canada Fa Conference because of something that happened during the 2003 Geneva Fa Conference. I vaguely remembered at that time, which was during the United Nations Human Rights Commission, my fiancée at the time and I were handing out fliers in front of the UN entrance. In a sudden flash of excitement, a practitioner told us that there would be a Fa Conference in Canada during the 2003 World Falun Dafa Day. My fiancée and I wanted to go together, however she didn't have enough personal vacation days left at work. Unless we moved our honeymoon to that period of time, it wouldn't be possible for us to go together. After discussing it, we decided to move our honeymoon from the year 2004 to May 2003. Our only thought at that time was to attend the Fa Conference and validate Dafa.

Before leaving for Canada, we had been thinking about what to do to validate Dafa in the grand parade. A simple way that we came up with was to design a banner by ourselves. We prepared a vinyl cloth 3.5 meters (about 11.5 feet) long and 0.9 meters (about 3 feet) wide. We first imprinted two images of Falun (the law wheel) on both ends, and then imprinted the words "Stop the Killing" and "SOS" on it. We decided to leave the banner with local practitioners after the parade, because in our country, people don't speak English. On that day however, in combined circumstances, my wife was invited to participate with the dance team and went with them, and our banner was taken by a group of practitioners from Japan. That was fine, as we all are Dafa practitioners, and there was no difference who validates Dafa. During the parade that day, we passed through Chinatown, and many people along the road, both Asian and Westerners, applauded us. Some practitioners distributed paper lotus flowers they had made themselves to people along the road, hoping that the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa would come to all of them via the pure and beautiful flowers. At the end of the parade route, practitioners gathered together under a clear sky bathed in the mild and warm sun. It was a beautiful picture of practitioners wearing all kinds of beautiful dance costumes and holding flags with "Falun Dafa is great!" in different styles of calligraphy and different bright colors! Among the practitioners, some came from Taiwan, Japan, the United States, Korea and Hong Kong, and some came from Europe. We greeted Teacher together with our most respectful and sincere hearts. I selected a position on top of a fountain, and took this magnificent picture.

At the Canada Fa Conference, it was the first time that my wife and I saw Teacher in person. Quite beyond our imagination, Teacher is so kind and young looking. When Teacher stepped into the conference site, everyone stood up from their seats and applauded with delight, because this was something we dreamed about. It's such great fortune to hear Teacher's lecture in person. On that day, I found it a little hard to follow Teacher's lecture, and I was quite anxious. I talked to Teacher in my heart like a child, "Teacher, how come I cannot understand you today? What you talked about today is so high-level." In a short while, Teacher said, "I'd say that what I talked about today is pretty high-level. (Applause) But all the same, as Dafa disciples, after you hear what you've heard, just take it easy and don't form some kind of attachment. Gradually, as you go through the cultivation process, you will come to know some of it, and some of you might come to know all of it after you eventually reach Consummation." -- Teacher indeed knows everything. During the break, my wife told me that when Teacher was giving the lecture, she felt an unprecedented gigantic energy pouring into her head, and felt her head expanding like a balloon. At that moment she felt her head was so big that her body was like a thin needle.

We went to Victoria to spread the Fa during the Fa Conference period. The weather was very clear that day as well, and the sun was bright but not dazzling, as if the weather was getting ready for us to spread the Fa. I came cross a young practitioner twelve years old; her hair was cut very short, and she was wearing a dress and handing out bookmarks to people. She was very young but her knowledge of Dafa was not small. I was older than her and bigger than her, but I felt as if I was no better than her in this respect. While chatting, she sounded like an adult, and said, "Alas, many young practitioners in Canada are not diligent, and they just want to play. For the adults, they always find excuses for themselves for not studying the Fa more and doing the exercises more." I couldn't help sweating; isn't this blaming me? On the other hand, I saw how amazing it was for a twelve year old to say something as rational as this.

Although almost a year has passed since the 2003 Canada Fa Conference, the joy of attending the Fa Conference and the magnificence of validating Dafa will remain in my heart forever. It occurred to me that the 2004 World Falun Dafa Day is coming soon. I hope practitioners can all seize this precious opportunity to validate Dafa and bring the wonderfulness of Dafa to every corner of the world!
