A Family Writes to the Head of the City Public Security Bureau and Demands the Release of a Practitioner
A Dafa practitioner was the person in charge of technology at a certain company. He is an uncommonly talented person. However, he was illegally sentenced because he attended a dinner hosted by practitioners of Falun Gong. At first, his mother was deeply grieved and not able to think clearly. After experiencing the shock of her son's imprisonment, she finally wiped her tears away, wrote a long letter to the Head of the Public Security Bureau in their city and demanded her son's release. She wrote in the letter:
"When my son was arrested by your policemen, the police searched his home and confiscated his property. When I arrived at his home, I found all of his cash and diamond wedding ring had been stolen by the police. They also stole his car. I spent two years getting the car back through the Office of Inspecting Discipline. The police wore the car out and ruined its original condition. As the head of the City Public Security Bureau, don't you think it is a shame that your own subordinates did such a thing? Aren't they bringing shame on the title of people's police? The purpose of writing this letter is not for asking for my son's cash and jewelry back. I hope you can strengthen the discipline of the police team."
"You sent my son to court. I never received any notification for the trial and he was sentenced without the family's knowledge. In the court, the public prosecutor showed a list of property confiscated when his home was searched, but this list did not match the one he signed at all. My son was heavily sentenced. The person you personally arrested was not treated justly at all. Do you think you are doing good things?"
"He has been detained for more than three years. He is not a criminal and did not bring any harm to others. So he should not have to compensate with the suffering of imprisonment ...A talented person is thrown into disuse for no good reason. In addition, my grandson is a very clever child. On a certain "sensitive day', the neighborhood committee came to see her mother again and said in a surly manner, "The higher authority said she still has contacts with other practitioners. We have already said good words for her. You'd better advise her not to contact other practitioners." However, this Dafa practitioner's mother did not agree. She said: "You go back to ask your "higher authority" what information they rely on to say she had contacts with others? Show the evidence! Why did you follow my daughter or tap our home's telephone? The country put respect for human rights into the Constitution. Did they do it for no reason? What evidence?" I stay with her every day. I did not see her contact anyone. My daughter was tortured by the police, causing her to have bad health. When she was in the forced labor camp, those Falun Gong practitioners helped her. Without those good people, it is unknown what kind of state she would be in right now! Contacting good people, so what? Do you prohibit people from talking to each other?"
Right now, the facts indicate that more and more Dafa practitioners' families are awakening, and they are speaking out from a sense of justice for their own family members. When the practitioners are arrested again, many Dafa practitioners' families are rescuing them in accordance with the law.
