San Francisco: Righteousness Will Definitely Win Over Evil, Anti-Torture Exhibition Awakens People's Kind Thoughts (Photos)

July 15, 2004

(Clearwisdom.net) Clearwisdom correspondent Huang Kaili reports from San Francisco: On July 11, 2004, California Bay Area Falun Gong practitioners held a live anti-torture exhibition and photo exhibit at Union Plaza in San Francisco, in order to let more people learn about Jiang's group's state-sponsored terrorism in China and the brutal torture of Falun Gong practitioners. They also called upon people from all segments of society to join together to stop the persecution, and to bring Jiang's group to justice.

Union Plaza is located in one of the busiest shopping areas in San Francisco. The anti-torture exhibition attracted many passers-by. The tortures displayed included being hung up and beaten, the tiger bench, torture by force-feeding, forced abortion, being locked in a metal cage, and slave labor. People were shocked and disturbed upon seeing the reenactment of torture methods that are being used in modern society to inhumanly persecute innocent people. They said that they would tell all their friends about the atrocities taking place in China and they expressed their belief that righteousness will definitely win over evil.

Ms. Liu, who demonstrated how practitioners are held in metal cages while in detention, had driven to San Francisco for over two hours. She said, "Standing here, I cannot help thinking of Falun Gong practitioners in China who are suffering a lot." She hoped that the anti-torture exhibition will awaken the audience's kind thoughts so they can stand up to help stop the Jiang group's inhuman persecution of Falun Gong.

A tourist from London expressed that she was very shocked. This was the first time she had heard about Falun Gong and the persecution. She wanted to tell all her friends to condemn such state terrorism.

Another person from Los Angeles said, "I came here to view this exhibit; I think none of the torture methods is appropriate. Forcing any person physically or mentally to act against his or her will is brutality. It makes me feel heart-stricken and it gives me the chills."

Especially worth mentioning is a Westerner named Bob. Three weeks ago, when the Bay Area practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in the capital of California, he felt that the energy field was good so he learned to practice the exercises and participated in the two-days of activities. This time, he followed practitioners from the capital of California to drive two and a half hours to San Francisco where he participated in the activities and distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials and clarified the truth. He expressed that he was proud to be participating in the activities.

A police officer in charge of public security at the site was moved by the torture exhibition scenes, and helped hold up banners on his own initiative.

Another Westerner who viewed the exhibition expressed that he was completely shocked by the torture methods displayed. He could not believe that these torture methods are being used in China, and he could not understand why a government treats people who believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" like this. He said, "But I believe that righteousness will definitely win over evil."
