United Kingdom: Photo Report -- First UK Anti-Torture Exhibition Held Opposite the Houses of Parliament

July 20, 2004

(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday July 18, UK Falun Gong practitioners staged an anti-torture exhibition opposite the Houses of Parliament in London. July 20 marks five years of persecution against Falun Gong during which countless inconceivably brutal methods of torture have been used in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their belief. Practitioners in the UK hoped to gain support to end the persecution by exposing these methods of torture through reenacting them.

The Houses of Parliament is the home of the UK Government and is also one of the UK's major tourist spots. Many people were shocked and concerned upon seeing the exhibits and posters, and learning about the campaign of genocide that is being waged against Falun Gong in China. People took leaflets and talked with practitioners to learn more about the situation, and many signed a petition calling for the chief instigator of this persecution, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, to be brought to justice.
