(Clearwisdom.net) Recently the "610 Office" of a city in Hebei Province started a campaign against the local Falun Gong practitioners. It was rumored that through this campaign, every practitioner in the city would have to sign a letter of guarantee to give up Falun Gong and those who refuse will be sent to a brainwashing class.

After we heard this, practitioners in the area sent forth righteous thoughts together in order to stop the evil's intention. A couple of days later, three outcomes emerged from this campaign.

The first is that the authorities were afraid of coming to the homes of steadfast practitioners. For example, there is one female practitioner who has been arrested several times. She has always been very calm, and never revealed anything while being interrogated and never cooperated with any persecution forced upon her. While detained, she said, "Truth, Compassion and Forbearance are good and Falun Dafa is good" to every person she met. Each time, she was able to leave the brainwashing center where she was being detained through her righteous thoughts. During the latest action against practitioners, no "610" official showed up at her home. We visited a couple of other veteran practitioners and found that wherever they went, they would thoroughly clarify the truth. "610" officials did not show up at their homes either.

The second situation is that most practitioners used this campaign as an opportunity to clarify the truth to the "610" officials and personnel from their local village. It's usually very difficult to meet these people face to face, butItIt now they had directly presented themselves at the doorsteps of the practitioners, and this was a most precious opportunity.

One female practitioner who is around 30 years old is from a village located near the city. When she came home from her job on a farm, people told her that a "610" officer and some local village government officials had been in her home twice already. The practitioner then said, "If that's the case, I'll stay home from work and wait for them." As she waited at home, afternoon rolled by and three people showed up at her home, one man and two women.

The practitioner said to them very politely, "Please come inside and have a seat, I've been wanting to talk to you for quite some time now."

The man asked her, "Are you still practicing the exercises?"

"Do you believe that practicing the exercises can rid one of illnesses?" was the practitioner's reply.

"Maybe it has some effects." Answered one of the two women.

Then the practitioner very firmly said, "If people really use their hearts to practice cultivation, then it will be very effective."

The practitioner then told them of two actual cases of people's lives being saved through practicing Falun Gong. The first case was about a person from her local village, and this lady was in the late stage of diabetes. The second case was about a person from an adjacent village nearby who was in the terminal stage of intestinal cancer. After practicing Falun Dafa, they both completely recovered and currently live very healthy lives.

One of the women asked, "If it's so good, then why not just practice at home, why did those practitioners burn themselves in Tiananmen Square?"

The practitioner then responded, "At first, I wasn't clear about the 'self-immolation', however I saw the VCD clarifying the actual truth about what happened and I then compared that with China's TV's broadcast version of the immolation. From that I now understand that the self-immolation was actually a staged event. According to an international investigation, Mr. Wang Jindong and Ms. Liu Chunling, who were the self-immolators, are not actual Falun Gong practitioners.

The man asked, "Who gave you the VCD?"

"Someone crammed it in the space between my door and the wall. I stumbled upon it when I opened the door."

"We came here to fulfill our duty, to make sure all who practice Falun Gong sign the guarantee," replied the man.

"I won't sign the letter." The practitioner responded. "The exercises are so good, why not just let people practice. Based on our Constitution, people have freedom of belief. The Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong violates the law and he has been sued in international courts. You guys have to watch yourselves and not follow Jiang's regime to the end."

"Are you going to sign the letter or not?" Asked the man.

The practitioner said: "I will not sign. I practice 'Truth, Compassion and Forbearance'. I've become a good person and have done nothing wrong. Who can do something bad to me?" The three did not know what to do and eventually left.

We visited practitioners from a couple villages, and these practitioners all clarified the truth and refused to sign the guarantees. In order to fulfill their duty, the "610" officials used deceptive and coercive methods to force the family members of these practitioner who did not practice Falun Gong to sign the guarantee for them.

Based on the above situation, we can easily see that that the campaign did not succeed. What happened also displays the need for practitioners to thoroughly clarify the truth to their families. After kindhearted people understand the truth about Falun Gong, they will stand up to stop the persecution.

The third situation consists of very isolated cases. It is about people who did not study the Fa very often, lacked righteous thoughts and had strong attachments of fear. There was one male practitioner who was met by a "610" officer at his home, and they found his Dafa books. The "610" officer coerced him into signing the guarantee by promising him that he would not inform the police or send him to a brainwashing class if he signed. Under this kind of coercion, he signed the guarantee. In a very similar situation, a female practitioner was also forced to sign guarantee. After the "610" officials left her home, they felt deep regret about what they did. This third group of people felt angry at themselves for not acting well and said they would later publish "solemn declaration" statements on Clearwisdom in order to void their signatures.

We were not afraid of the evil's lies or campaigns. Actually each such action provides us with a great opportunity to suffocate the evil, clarify the truth and save sentient beings.
