A Family Devastated by Persecution--Zhengzhou Police Abduct Daughter While Visiting Her Imprisoned Mother, Heartbroken Father Passes Away

(Clearwisdom.net)

Mother and daughter Xu Songduo and Shen Yanli of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province practice Falun Dafa. The mother, Xu Songduo, was sentenced to imprisonment in 2001. Her detainment was in violation of the Chinese constitution. Personnel from the Xinxiang Women's Prison and the Guancheng Police Division lured the daughter Shen Yanli to visit her mother in prison. They then went back on their promise not to harm the daughter and abducted her, torturing her cruelly. The complete story is as follows:

On December 31, 2001, while Dafa practitioner Xu Songduo from Zhengzhou City was handing out information about Falun Gong in Zhongmu County, Zhengzhou City. She was reported and was abducted. After being detained in the Zhongmu County Detention Center for nine months, Xu was sentenced to four years of imprisonment by authorities from the police department and in Zhongmu County's Prosecuting Department. She has since been imprisoned in the Xinxiang Women's Prison.

Shen Yanli is Xu Songduo's daughter. Because personnel from the Guancheng Police Division, the Zhongmu County Police Department and the Zhongmu County's Prosecuting Department constantly went to her home to monitor her, she went into exile to avoid further persecution.

Left at home was father who was suffering from a mental disability as well as hepatitis and the 13-year-old son. Because of the constant harassment of the police department personnel and the street police station personnel, and because he could not bear that both his wife and daughter were abducted and imprisoned, the father died on December 2, 2002 when he was only 54 years old. The son went to live with his uncle. Xu Songduo was not able to see her husband before he died. She became seriously ill in the prison after she heard that her husband passed away.

Shen Yanli, 24-years old, was expelled from her school for practicing Falun Gong when she was only six months away from graduating. Thus, she was prevented from joining the well-respected profession of teaching. When she saw that her younger brother was in pain from losing their father and could not focus on his studies, she found him and tutored him.

Because Xu Songduo longed to see her daughter, Xinxiang Women's Prison personnel told her as a promise, "If your daughter comes here to see you, we will not arrest her. We only want to talk to her." Xu Songduo believed their promise.

Xinxiang Women's Prison police and Guancheng Police Division personnel were involved in the conspiracy. After Shen Yanli finished her visit with her mother, the personnel from the Guancheng Police Division, who had been waiting for her for a while near the prison, abducted her. The perpetrators also searched Shen Yanli's third aunt's home and the home of an old family friend, Dr. Yang, who had once taken her into his family's care.

Dr. Yang's family and Xu Songduo's family are long-time good friends. Xu Songduo once had uterine myoma. After she started to practice Falun Dafa all her illnesses disappeared and she became energetic. She was kindhearted and diligent in her practice. She often helped to take care of Dr. Yang's wife who had multiple illnesses, and also helped with the housework. Dr. Yang's family spoke highly of her and respected her. When Dr. Yang was interrogated by persons from the Guancheng Police Division, the police asked him, "Why did you provide shelter to a Falun Gong practitioner, Shen Yanli?" This shook up the elderly man and his wife. They did not understand why the family member of their good friend could not live in their home, and why the law-abiding, good people were pursued for arrest.

After Shen Yanli was fiendishly tortured in the Guancheng Police Division, she was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor and was sent to the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp. During that time, Guancheng Police Division personnel searched and confiscated items from the Shangjie Dafa truth materials production center. Several months later, the Guancheng Prosecuting Office transferred Shen Yanli out of the Shibalihe Women's Labor Camp and issued another order to arrest her. She is now being detained in the 1st Detention Center of Zhengzhou City. None of her relatives or friends are allowed to visit her and there is no way to learn of her current situation.

Even now, personnel from the Guancheng Police Division and the Xinxiang Women's Prison still lie to Xu Songduo, telling her that Shen Yanli is in an "education class" and that she is all right. The police and the prison guards also threaten Xu Songduo's relatives and friends not to tell her the truth; otherwise the prison will not let them visit Xu Songduo. Guancheng Police Division and Xinxiang Women's Prison authorities spare no effort to do evil. They have broken up the family and caused a death in the family simply because the family believes in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Yet, they still do not leave the family alone. Guancheng Police Division and in the Xinxiang Women's Prison authorities have totally lost their humanity. We hope that all people with a sense of justice might help to rescue the kindhearted and innocent mother and daughter, and help to restore the broken family.

In addition, Guancheng Police Division and the prosecuting department frantically extort money from Dafa practitioners. Dafa practitioners Li Huizhen and Feng Caiqin from the Guancheng District were abducted from home while one was cooking and one was doing the grocery shopping. During their detention period, personnel from the Guancheng Police Division and Prosecuting Office, with the excuse of hiring lawyers, extorted 60,000 Yuan (1) from Li Huizhen's family and 20,000 Yuan from Feng Caiqin's family. Eventually, Li Huizhen and Feng Caiqin were nevertheless sentenced to three to four years of imprisonment.
