The Importance of Clarifying the Truth to Fellow Practitioners

Sept. 3, 2004 |   By a Dafa practitioner in Southeast Asia

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners in many countries around the world are holding anti-torture exhibitions, which are very effective in letting many people learn the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. People are shocked beyond belief that something like this could take place as our modern civilization enters the twenty-first century.

Many practitioners here in Malaysia have asked me: "Is it true?" I was surprised to find that many fellow practitioners really do not know the truth themselves. We clarify the truth to people every day, but we neglect to clarify the truth to fellow practitioners. This has caused a kind of resistance to those who are busy clarifying the truth. They might be asked: "Is what you do political? Is it interfering with other countries' internal affairs? Isn't it breaking laws?"

Since the crackdown of Falun Gong began in 1999, Jiang Zemin and his accomplices have started to interfere with the internal affairs of every country all over the world. They have spread rumors and denigrated Falun Gong all over the world through overseas embassies and consulates, TV, radio, newspaper, etc., poisoning people all over the world. Jiang's tyranny even reaches overseas, as shown by the recent shooting in South Africa, and practitioners in many countries being spied on and beaten.

Practitioners in China are still tortured to death today, which of course violates basic human rights. To ensure a person's human rights does not interfere with internal affairs, nor is it political.

When practitioners have discussions, we should allow other practitioners to express their thoughts. Often, one who asks such questions will face accusations and verbal attack from other practitioners, thereby frightening the practitioner from saying any more. However, he is still not clear, so he remains unable to do what a Dafa practitioner should do. This results in such a situation where we do not improve as a whole.

We have both Teacher and the Fa. I think we should calm down and discuss these questions. Even if someone has negative opinions, we should also allow him to voice them. Only when the questions are raised, can we have a discussion, clarify the truth, improve our understanding, and upgrade our Xinxing [mind nature, moral character]. Teacher has said: "Different levels have different Fa." (Zhuan Falun) We must enable everyone to learn the truth, and thereby upgrade their Xinxing. Naturally, everyone will have their own opinion and way of doing things. This way, they can do the three things well that Teacher has asked us to do.
