(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wu Qinfen, 54, was the assistant at the Miaopu practice site in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. She was once a manager at the Wuxi City Silk Filature Mill. Before practicing Falun Gong, Wu Qinfen suffered from heart disease and had to have a pacemaker. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, her health quickly recovered and she became energetic. On April 25, 1999 she went to Nanjing City to appeal to the government. She was arrested by Nanchang Police Station and her home was ransacked. Later someone reported her to the police because she distributed truth-clarification materials. She was released after being brutally tortured both mentally and physically. Her health visibly deteriorated and she died on May 16, 2001. Before she died, she told other practitioners that she firmly believes in Dafa and will practice Falun Gong to the end.

Ms. Gu Xijuan, 49, was a manager at an insurance company in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. On October 1, 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal to the government and clarify the truth. She was arrested by the police, taken back to her local area and detained for one month. In 2000 she was arrested and taken to a brainwashing class. In 2001 she was again arrested and taken to a brainwashing class, where she started to have blood her stools. She didn't recover after she was released. In 2002, Wuxi City 610 Office personnel went to her workplace to harass her. She suffered severe mental and physical persecution, and she died in October 2002.

Ms. Liu Shu E, 60, was a resident of Sundong Village, Chengyang District in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. She benefited greatly both in body and mind after she started practicing Falun Gong. Many diseases that she suffered for a long time, such as diabetes, coronary disease, arteriosclerosis, among others, all disappeared. In November 1999 she went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested by police. She was detained twice at the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City, each time for 15 days. Her home was illegally ransacked twice. She was transferred from Dashan Detention Center to a mental hospital, where she was tortured for one month. Later, when they sent her to the mental hospital a second time, Liu She E firmly resisted the persecution, and four or five police officers failed to drag her down. During the 2003 Chinese Lunar New Year she was sent back home. Within two weeks she was paralyzed, as Police continuously went to her home to harass her, which severely tortured her mind and body. She died in late 2003.

Ms. Pan Shuying, 67, lived in Yanji City, Jilin Province. In June 2001 she was arrested while she was clarifying the truth, and illegally detained for two weeks. In August 2001 she was arrested at her home and taken to a brainwashing center, where she was persecuted for one month. In May 2002, she was again arrested at home. After she was subjected to many brutal tortures, she was transferred to the Heizuizi Detention Center in Changchun. There she had symptoms of a stroke. She was released after a month. When she returned home, her husband forbade her from practicing Falun Gong. She died in July 2005 after long-term persecution.

Mr. Yang Xinya, 52, was a resident of Xiaodian Village, Zhanjian Township, in Xuchang City, Henan Province. He learned Falun Gong at the end of 1998. Soon after practicing Falun Gong, his hereditary disease tracheitis was cured without medical treatment. From then on he often lived in Kaifeng City. In spring 2002 Kaifeng police sentenced him to a one-year prison term because he distributed Teacher's lectures. In the Kaifeng Detention Center he was subjected to brutal torture. In summer 2003 officers from the Kaifeng Southern Rural District Police Station illegally ransacked his home. His wife was detained for two weeks. His son was illegally sentenced to three years in prison by the Xuchang Police Department. Due to being persecuted for a long time, Yang Yaxin endured severe mental suffering and developed diseases. He died in September 2005.

Ms. Yang Chunmei, 79, lived in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. She previously suffered from pulmonary emphysema, heart & lung disorders, duodenal ulcers and so on. Since she started practicing Falun Gong, her body became very healthy. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, she was severely persecuted by Jiang's regime. On August 8, 2005, at around 6:00 a.m., Chang Xiaoqing, the Secretary of the Wuyilu Office in Zhangjiakou City, tricked her into opening the door, and a group of plainclothes policemen rushed in, took her daughter away, and took her to the Tangshan Detention Center for persecution. Her grandson was looking for his mother everywhere, and other family members and friends were also affected. Yang Cunmei knows Dafa is wonderful, but she relaxed herself in her practice under the heavy pressure of the persecution. In winter 2003 all of her old diseases recurred, and she had so much pain in her back and legs that she couldn't walk or stand up straight. Later she couldn't even get up. With the help of her daughter and other practitioners, and with Teacher's benevolent hints, the elderly woman realized the preciousness of Dafa, and firmly reestablished her cultivation of Dafa, so she was able to recover from her diseases. In late 2003, when practitioner Wang Lihua was arrested and held in a brainwashing center, and was later forced to leave home, Bai Junjie was sentenced to prison, and the elderly woman's mind was again in torment. She was in fear every day, often crying and unable to sleep. She died on July 15, 2005.

Ms. Zhang Cuigai was a 45 year old Falun Gong practitioner from Fangyuan Village, Qiaotou Township in Sheze County, Hebei Province. She went to Beijing to appeal and to clarify the truth around April 25, 1999. After July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing a second time, but was stopped by governmental personnel and detained at the county police department for one week. Later the village police often went to her home to harass her, brought handcuffs to her home to arrest her (she was at work and thus escaped arrest), and confiscated all her Dafa books and Teacher's lecture tapes. When she visited relatives, the village governmental officers also called her relatives' homes to threaten her. This caused Zhang Cuigai to suffer severely, both physically and emotionally. She died in April 2004.

Ms. Cao Hui was a 56-year-old employee of the Postal & Telecommunication System in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. After July 20, 1999 she was harassed many times by the Gexinjie Police Station in Xinhua District. They came to her home to arrest her. They also sent special personnel to interrogate her. Even after she moved to a new location she discovered the gate guards were monitoring her. She suffered greatly both physically and mentally. She died in autumn 2003.
