Photo Report from France: Children from the Province of Nord-Pas-de-Calais Support Their Chinese Friends

Nov. 27, 2005

(Clearwisdom.net) November 20th was Universal Children's Day, and French practitioners held a "Rescue Falun Gong Children Persecuted in China" event at the Human Rights Plaza in Paris. They presented an anti-torture exhibition, a photo exhibit and a Falun Gong exercise demonstration. In addition, they told the passersby that many children of practitioners have been orphaned due to the brutal persecution and have become destitute and homeless. During this day designated for children, they called on the public to pay close attention and help those innocent children.

During the day, about 300 children from the Province of Nord-Pas-de-Calais came to the plaza to express their understanding of children's rights through the medium of painting. When they passed by the practitioners' site and learned about the suffering of the Chinese children who have lost their parents and can't go to school, some of these children expressed their support for their Chinese friends by making paintings and some accepted interviews by the Sound of Hope radio station to make their supportive voices heard. In addition, some children drew the sea, the sun and birds on a signature board and signed their names.
