Following Master's Arrangements and Clarifying the Truth to My Students

(Clearwisdom.net) I have been a very quiet person ever since I was young and have always kept my mouth shut, even when the occasion is very lively. Although I have clearly understood for several years that our top priority as Dafa practitioners is to save sentient beings, my quiet and shy personality has prevented me from actively clarifying the truth. As a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, I knew that this attitude was not correct and that I should get over it. To solve this problem, I studied the Fa more diligently.

Master has talked to us about predestined relationships. It occurred to me that in addition to my family members, my students also have a definite predestined relationship with me. Thus, I started to explain the truth to my students in the classroom. However, I was held back by fear and did not go very deep. The students had been poisoned so thoroughly by the hate propaganda of the Chinese Communist Party that they were already biased against Dafa. When I noticed that my explanations did not achieve the expected positive effects and that occasionally parents would report me to the authorities, I became very discouraged for a while. I could not overcome this difficulty until I read Master's "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Western U.S. Fa Conference".

Master said,

"The fact is, you've learned what you've learned because you had that wish and accordingly arrangements were made for you back in the past since it would be needed in validating the Fa, that's all."

I realized that Master arranged for me to be a teacher. How could I live up to the predestined relationship between myself and my students, if I cannot even use my profession to try to save them? How will I ever live up to Master's boundless benevolence? My career exists only because of the need to validate Dafa. My mind became completely clear. I learned the lessons of my past experiences and started to validate Dafa to my students more wisely. Now, I start by guiding the students to reflect on some issues connected to the subject I am teaching. I try to make the students understand what has caused the current degeneration of human morality. Usually the students are very interested in such topics.

Having laid this foundation, I then take the opportunity and talk to them in small groups. I have conversations with them to explain to them the truth about Falun Dafa and guide their thinking to help them solve their problems. At the same time, I encourage them to raise questions and try to answer them. I find this to be a very effective way to clarify the truth. After they understand the truth, I sometimes tell them that I have been practicing Falun Dafa for many years. I ask them to take a good look at me and to decide for themselves whether I look like the picture of a Falun Gong practitioner presented in the media. Usually, the students are very surprised and admit that this is not the case.

I think a teacher should not always talk about "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance" in front of their students; instead, a teacher should be very strict with him or herself and always act on the principles of "Truth, Compassion and Forbearance" to convey the good image of a Dafa practitioner. This is the most effective way to earn the students' trust and to lay a solid foundation for truth clarification.

Some of my students who have recognized the truth began to voluntarily clarify the truth to their new classmates after they move on to the next grade, and thus a good environment for validating Dafa has been established.
