Seven Falun Dafa Practitioners Die as a Result of Persecution

April 21, 2005

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Jia Yumei, 58, was a retired worker from the Leiwu Railroad in Leiwu City, Henan Province. She started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 and benefited tremendously. She disappeared one evening in 2004 after going out to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Her deformed body was later found at a crematory.

Practitioner Mr. Gao Shuncai, 46, was a doctor in Gaozhuang Village, Sangzhaung Town, Dengzhou City, Henan Province. He suffered from severe heart disease prior to practicing Dafa, and was cured through the practice. He was arrested around May 2003 and had more than 2,000 yuan extorted from him by the Dengzhou City police. This traumatized him physically and mentally. He had a relapse of his old illness and passed away on October 8, 2002. During the time he was held in prison, he was coerced into writing a guarantee statement, but he continued to practice Dafa after he was released. He later published a solemn announcement on the Minghui website voiding the guarantee statement.

Practitioner Ms. Yang Ronghua, 56, was a doctor at Henan Agricultural University. She obtained Dafa in 1998 and recovered from numerous illnesses. In July 2000 she went to Beijing to validate Dafa, and officials from her work unit took her back to her hometown from Beijing. She was held at the Heizhuang Detention Center for more than two weeks. Ms. Yang persisted in practicing Dafa after her release, but she was constantly monitored and not allowed to contact anyone outside her home. She became depressed, suffered a relapse of her old illness, and died on April 29, 2001.

Practitioner Ms. Li Fengling, 58, lived in Zhenzhou City, Henan Province. She obtained Dafa in 1994. She had previously suffered from severe heart disease and had surgery to replace a heart valve. She became very healthy after she started the practice. In July 1999, the police abducted her from home and held her in the Qiliyan Detention Center in Zhenzhou City for six weeks. She remained determined during her detention. She kept clarifying the truth and practicing Dafa after her release, despite numerous difficulties due to the police monitoring and harassment. She had a relapse of her old illness and passed away in October 2001.

Practitioner Mr. Li Jinhai, 72, lived in Gongyi City, Henan Province. He was devastated when his daughter, who was also a Dafa practitioner, was illegally detained and subsequently sent to a forced labor camp. He passed away on July 3, 2002.

Practitioner Mr. Hu Shanhuai, 65, was the principal of the Junior School of Henan Agricultural University. Prior to beginning Falun Dafa practice he suffered from terminal lung cancer that had already metastasized. However, his health was completely restored after he started practicing Dafa in November 1996. The persecution started in July 1999, and he then lost a normal cultivation environment and the cancer returned. He passed away soon afterwards.

Practitioner Ms. Xiao Huarong, who was in her 50s, worked at the No. 5 Cotton Factory in Zhenzhou City, Henan Province. She suffered from numerous illnesses, particularly severe cervical vertebra problems. All symptoms were alleviated after she started practicing Dafa in 1995. Her mother and sister both practiced Falun Gong after witnessing the changes that took place in her. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, persecutors from the street committee, the community office, the administration office, and her work unit constantly subjected her to brainwashing and harassment at home, trying to "reform" her. In 2004, Bai Fusheng, the deputy community office head, along with several people from the administration office, went to her home and told her to sign a guarantee statement. They harassed her for several days straight, and wouldn't leave her family in peace. Later, her husband signed the document for her. She was filled with fear and anxiety was soon hospitalized. She was not cured, even after more than 10,000 yuan was spent on medical bills. She passed away in July 2004.
