1. [Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province] Six Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
On March 3, 2005, police from Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province, arrested six practitioners, including Ms. Luo Guixiang and Chen Wenxing.

2. [Nangong City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ding Guangxiu Sentenced to Four Years of Imprisonment
Because practitioner Mr. Ding Guangxiu from Nangong City, Hebei Province, sent a solemn announcement in 2003 that declared his determination to practice Falun Gong, personnel from the Nangong City Police Department arrested him and put him in the Xingtai City Brainwashing Class for three months. In October 2004, the city court sentenced him to four years of imprisonment and sent him to the Tangshan City Prison for further torture early this year.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Mr. Guo Qing Arrested Three Times
Practitioner Mr. Guo Qing was an employee at the Sichuan Province Transport Mechanic Factory. On July 22, 1999, he was arrested and his home was ransacked. In June 2000 he went to appeal for Falun Gong in Beijing but was afterwards detained, sent home, and put into the Qingyang Drug Rehabilitation Center for two days. Later, he spent 17 days in detention at the local police precinct. On March 1, 2000, he left home to avoid police harassment.
On August 27, 2001, Mr. Guo and other practitioners were arrested. While they were being detained, special agents from the Chengdu City National Security Team intimidated Mr. Guo Qing in their attempts to get him to provide them with Falun Gong information. In order to avoid this persecution, Mr. Guo left Chengdu City after his release and led a homeless life.
On December 28, 2004, personnel from the local Political and Judiciary Committee arrested Mr. Guo at a rented house in Pengzhou City and ransacked the house.
4. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Baojie Tortured to the Point of Extreme Emaciation
Practitioner Ms. Li Baojie from Panjin City, Liaoning Province was transferred from the No. 2 Division to the No.1 Division. She did not cooperate with the officials and did not wear a prison uniform or recite the prison regulations. The police did not allow her family to see her. Her life is currently in peril.

5. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Dr. Deng Wanying and Ms. Zhang Shishu Sentenced to Forced Labor
In May 2004, personnel from the Yibin City Police Department arrested practitioner Dr. Deng Wanying, in her forties, from Jie Village, Texing Town, Longmatan District, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, and put her into Zizhong City's Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province for two years of imprisonment.
Ms. Zhang Shishu, 54 years old, is from Kuifeng Township, Texing Town, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. Luzhou City police arrested her for practicing Falun Gong and sent her to Zizhong City's Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp to serve a two-year term.
6. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Cui Zhili from Luanchuan Arrested
On March 21, 2005, practitioner Mr. Cui Zhili from Luanchuan County was arrested when he was clarifying the truth to passengers on a bus on the way back to his hometown. "110" police (similar to the 911 Emergency Response Teams in the US) arrested him and put him into the Luanchuan County Detention Center.
7. [Yuanling County, Hunan Province] Personnel from the Xiangxi Gold Mine Police Precinct Arrested Mr. Pan Jianjun, Who Later Died from Torture
Personnel from the Xiangxi Gold Mine Police Precinct arrested practitioner Mr. Pan Jianjun from Yuanling County, Hunan Province. He was later tortured to death.

8. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Yanna and Ms. Zhang Shunying Sentenced to Imprisonment
In December 2004, practitioner Ms. Wu Yanna from Guangzhou City was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment. She was sent to the Guangzhou City Women's Prison on March 10, 2005.
Without a hearing, the Intermediate People's Court sentenced Ms. Zhang Shunying, 54 years old, from Guangzhou City, to seven years of imprisonment. She was sent to the Guangzhou City Women's Prison.
9. [Langzhong City, Sichuan Province] 610 Officials Order Policemen and Personnel from the Community Committee to Entrap Practitioners
Since March 2005, authorities from the 610 Office at the Langzhong City Political and Judiciary Committee have ordered the police and local community officials to arrest practitioners. In the morning on March 15, Zhang Zhongguo, secretary of the Huaguang Community Committee in Baoning Town, entered practitioner Ms. Feng Ping's home and deceived her with lies to go to the Committee office. As soon as Ms. Feng got there, several police officers forced Ms. Feng into a police car and sent her to the Nanchong Brainwashing Class to be "reformed."
That same morning, Qing Hui, head of the Baihua Temple Community Committee, led police to break into Ms. Tian Yimei's home. Qing Hui lied, "Please come to the precinct. The police have something to talk to you about." In order to avoid being persecuted, Ms. Tian took the opportunity when she went to change her clothes to slip out the back door. Since then, Qing Hui has often gone to Ms. Tian's home to harass and threaten her family.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Yongxiu Stages a Hunger Strike to Protest the Torture at the Pengzhou Brainwashing Class
Ms. Li Yongxiu lives at the 5701 Factory of the People's Liberation Army in Chengdu City. She set out for Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa at the end of 1999 but was apprehended and fined by the authorities from the 610 Office in the Wuhou District of Chengdu City. She was fired from her workplace and forced to divorce her husband. The authorities then sent Ms. Li back to her hometown of Pengzhou City.
On July 9, 2000, Ms. Li was arrested at Pengzhou City Square. Authorities from the Longfeng Town Government continued to torture her on her return. For example, they whipped her with a lash made of a few strands of electric wire or "live" hemp, a kind of wild plant related to marijuana. After touching the hemp, the skin immediately becomes inflamed, extremely itchy and painful. They physically punished Ms. Li and assessed a heavy fine.
In 2002 Li Yongxiu went back to her parents' home for the Chinese New Year. She was arrested together with her younger brother, sister-in-law, and sister. Later she escaped from the Guankou Police Precinct with the power of her righteous thoughts and lived a homeless life.
On December 30, 2004, Ms. Li was arrested when clarifying the truth at Bayi Square in Chengdu City. Personnel from the 610 Office in the Wuhou District of Chengdu City sent her to Pengshou City. Ms. Li is now in a brainwashing class inside the Pengzhou City Detention Center for torture. She has been on a hunger strike for days and is extremely weak.
11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qian Qian, an Elementary School Teacher from the Jiang'an District, Suffers Brutal Tortures in a Brainwashing Class
Ms. Qian Qian is a teacher from the Luxisan Elementary School in the Jiang'an District in Wuhan City. On March 15, 2005, 610 officials arrested her and put her into the Jiang'an District Brainwashing Class. Five male officers stripped her, handcuffed her and hung up for 24 hours. They feared that she might call out, so they gagged her with dirty rags and sealed her mouth with tape.
12. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Mingzhu Has Been Held for Over Four Months
Ms. Xie Mingzhu from Chengdu City was arrested by personnel from the "110" department for distributing truth-clarifying materials on November 20, 2004. She has been held at Chengdu City's No. 2 Detention Center for over four months. Her family and her lawyer have tried in many ways to intervene. Officers in the departments in charge of the case have promised many times to release her, but it has so far not happened.
13. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Changxiu Arrested
After 11:00 a.m. on March 8, 2005, personnel from the Chongqing National Security Department and the police department went to Tongziping, Tongyuanju in the Nan'an District and arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Changxiu.

14. [Chongqing] Mr. Tang Deliang and Ms. Wang Hongmei from Tongnan County Sentenced
Mr. Tang Deliang and Ms. Wang Hongmei, a married couple from Tongnan County in Chongqing, were sentenced to forced labor for clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. After being released, they kept on clarifying the truth to local people. In 2003 they were arrested and sentenced again when clarifying the truth in Suining City, Sichuan Province. Ms. Wang is currently being held at the Yangmahe Women's Prison in Jianyang City, Sichuan Province. Mr. Tang's situation is unknown.
15. [Wen'an County, Hebei Province] Mr. Shi Jinshu Tortured at the Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Shi Jinshu, 58 years old, from the Second Village in Xin Town, Wen'an County, Hebei Province, was lured from home on the afternoon of February 1, 2005, by personnel from local police precinct. A family member went to visit him that night, but he had already been sentenced. The next day Mr. Shi was sent to the Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp.
Mr. Shi has been on a hunger strike for 32 out of the 50 days he has been held. On February 23, 2005 a police officer called Chai beat him for over an hour. They force-fed him every day. Mr. Shi's life is in peril.
16. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hu Guifang and Her Husband Brutally Tortured
In early March 2005, Ms. Hu Guifang from Caochi Town in Jianyang City was arrested when she was clarifying the truth in public. Police broke into and ransacked her home without showing a warrant. They put her and her practitioner husband in handcuffs and shackles and sent them to the city's detention center for interrogation and torture.
17. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Hao Yingqiang Arrested for Visiting His Wife in Prison
Mr. Hao Yingqiang from Yanji City in Jilin Province disappeared after going to visit his wife Ms. Yang Mingfang at Changchun City Women's Prison. Rumor has it that Changchun police have arrested him.
18. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Ji Shude Arrested
Personnel from the Criminal Team of the Yongnian County Police Department arrested Mr. Ji Shude from Handan City, Hebei Province. Mr. Ji is being held at the Yongning County Detention Center.
19. [Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Yakun Arrested Again
Officials from Gaizhou City Agricultural Bank and Ms. Yu Yakun's late husband Mr. Qian Naizhang's employer reported Ms.Yu to the police when she went there to ask for her husband's funeral allowance and clarified the truth of Falun Gong to them. The family currently has no source of income and is in extremely poor financial circumstances. On March 9, 2005, police arrested Ms. Yu at home and sent her to a detention center. To date she has not been released. Her elderly parents-in-law and young son presently have no one care for them.
Ms. Yu's late husband, Qian Naizhang, was harassed and tortured severely by personnel from the Gaizhou City Political & Judiciary Committee, from the 610 Office and from the police department. He suffered greatly, both physically and mentally. His work unit even fired him. He died from the pressure of the persecution.

20. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Shubin from the Weicheng District Recently Arrested
At 8:00 p.m. on March 30, 2005, Mr. Chen Shubin, 28 years old, from Yuhe Town in the Weicheng District went missing. For four days his family didn't know his whereabouts. It was not until April 3 that his family learned that he was in the Xiguan Police Station in the Weicheng District.

21. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Ms. Zeng Lanfang and Another Practitioner
On March 28, 2005, personnel from the Yuhan Road Police Precinct arrested Ms. Zeng Lanfang and another practitioner while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials.
22. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Ronghua Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Liu Ronghua from Changsha City was recently arrested. In 2003 she was sentenced to one year of forced labor at the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp and was not released until October 2004.
23. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Personnel from the Chenghua District Street Administrative Committee Knowingly Commit Crimes
In mid-March 2005, Ms. Zheng Yingqiu, 50 years old, from Taoxi Road in the Chenghua District went shopping at a nearby supermarket and was arrested by personnel from the Public Security Office. Right after that, seven or eight people broke into her home and turned it upside down. They took Ms. Zheng to the Street Administrative Committee for detention. On April 3 they transferred her to the Xinjin Brainwashing Class for further persecution.
