Finland: Commemorating the April 25, 1999 Peaceful Appeal and Calling for an End to the Persecution (Photo)

May 2, 2005 |   By a Finnish practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) To commemorate the sixth anniversary of the peaceful April 25th appeal by 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners in 1999, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland held an activity at the Chinese Embassy on April 25, 2005. The practitioners called for an end to the six years of persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have endured at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party. They also highlighted the recent wave of arrests that has brought chaos and martial law conditions to parts of China.

The practitioners lined up opposite the embassy and started doing the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts, while one of the practitioners was handing leaflets to passers by. The majority of them accepted our material and thanked us. Some Chinese people also took our booklets, which are packed with detailed information on Falun Gong and the persecution.

In order not to miss even one person who had a predestined relationship with us, we handed out leaflets to all sorts of people: taxi drivers, postmen, passers-by and those who work at a nearby construction site. At that time, a lorry driver specially stopped his vehicle to ask for material. A practitioner thanked him and gave him a leaflet.

We will carry on telling people the truth, revealing the evil and protesting peacefully until the persecution ends. We appeal to the people of the world, including the staff of the Chinese Embassy, to understand the truth, discern the evil from the good and choose a bright future.
