(Clearwisdom.net) Note from the practitioner who submitted this article: When I found out that the practitioner described in this article reads through Zhuan Falun once every day, I discussed the subject of Fa-study with other practitioners. They all felt surprised at this full use of time and the might of the Fa. I know that this practitioner has to work every day, make lunch for her child going to school, and do housework and more. There is not enough time, and she has to balance the great amounts of work in clarifying the truth while making sure to read through Zhuan Falun once a day. She makes full use of time, is able to overcome the demon of sleepiness, and becomes more spirited with more reading. I urged her to write out these experiences to encourage fellow practitioners to keep striving forward in assimilating to Dafa. I believe this serves as an inspiration to everyone. I think what she says about "respect, calmness, purity" is also quite good. I believe this state of respect, calmness, and purity reflects her assimilating to the Fa. On the other hand, this is also the process of assimilating to Dafa. Thinking about the age-old topic of studying scriptures, it is certainly true that: "The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference" in Essentials for Further Advancement II) On the question of time available to study the Fa, this practitioner says, "Even watching all the lecture tapes only takes eleven hours while there are twelve hours in a night. There is sufficient time to study the Fa."

Discussion on How to Study the Fa
In order to do the "three things well," the Fa must first be studied well. The three things can then be united into one thing, and "righteous thoughts and righteous actions" can be achieved. Thus the power of gods through righteous thoughts can be manifested. Master says:
"So, no matter how busy you get, when you study the Fa you have to set aside all other thoughts--don't think about other things at all, just study the Fa. Maybe as you study the Fa the issues you've been thinking about will be resolved, since behind every word are Buddhas, Daos, and Gods. How could they not know exactly what you want to resolve and what you're anxious to get done at that time? Then how could they not tell you? But there's one thing: you must achieve the state of studying the Fa without any pursuit. You understood this a long time ago--you can't read the Fa with an attachment to solving your problems. Just read calmly, and the effect is sure to be excellent. So when you study the Fa, don't just go through the motions. You have to calm your mind when you read it, and truly study it. Don't let your mind sneak away from you. Once your mind wanders off, you'll be studying in vain. If we look at it from another angle, when you study the Fa and your mind isn't on the Fa, it's not only a problem of just going through the motions, but also that the person studying the Fa is actually not being very respectful of the Fa. How could the Fa reveal itself, then?" ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.")
When studying the Fa, be respectful--sit in the double lotus position if possible; calm--maintain a state as if practicing the exercises; and pure--think of nothing, having only one thought of studying the Fa. If the mind cannot concentrate and wanders off in other thoughts, read it aloud or even read loudly, while thinking: no matter what kind of beings, good or bad, all study the Fa with me, assimilate to Dafa, and do not interfere with me. This way I can gradually overcome many barriers, such as sleepiness, the issue of time, and so on. Now I can basically read through Zhuan Falun once every day, in about six hours.
In order to better assimilate to Dafa, to reduce deviation in the mind and to maintain righteous thoughts and righteous actions, I recite the Fa-rectification verses, Lunyu, Hongyin, and etc. while working, when walking, making dinner, or doing housework. Put the mind completely on the Fa. Master says:
"When somebody chants Buddha's name he has to chant without any distracting thoughts, he can't have anything on his mind, and he'll chant until all the other parts of his brain go numb and he loses awareness of everything, one thought replaces tens of thousands of others, and each word of "Buddha Amitabha" appears before his eyes. Isn't that about mastery?" (Zhuan Falun)
When this state of studying the Fa is truly reached, you will be able to experience the grandeur, sacredness, and mighty virtue of assimilating to the Fa. The three things will naturally be done well.
