Tortured at the Hands of the Huadian Police and Jilin Security Agents

Aug. 1, 2005

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Xu Yanjun. I am a Falun Gong practitioner from Huadian City. On December 14, 2004, while I was helping a fellow practitioner move, someone reported us to the police. Policemen arrested us both at the same time. They wore no uniforms and showed no ID. When I asked them why they were arresting me, they said, "You don't have to ask why. You'll find out when you get to the police station." Under these conditions, I was taken to Minghua Police Station of Huadian City.

After they took me to the police station, I wouldn't cooperate with them. I resisted being handcuffed and refused to give my name and address. A group of officers shoved me to the floor. Some of them stomped on my back and thighs. Others viciously twisted my arms. Afterwards, two plainclothes policemen put me in another room and cruelly beat me. Later, they dragged me upstairs, forced me to sit on the floor with my legs straight and bent my upper body in such a way that my chest touched my thighs. At the same time, they pulled my arms backwards. I could barely breathe in that position. After a while, they brought in a steel chair, made me sit on it, and cuffed both of my hands behind my back to the steel chair. Being handcuffed in this position cut off the circulation, and my hands became numb. Because I asked them so strenuously, and because they were afraid that they might cause something bad to happen, they released my hands from behind my back, but I was still handcuffed to the chair. It was wintertime and very cold sitting on the steel chair. I was handcuffed to the chair for two days.

The second night, they took me to the police station in Huadian City. As the officers introduced themselves to each other, I overheard that three of them were Security Section Agents from Jilin City. Yu Jinji, the director of the Huadian City Security Section, told me, "I am known as The Evil Policeman Yu Jinji." Later, they took me to an interrogation room. All of them left except the police from the Jilin Security Section. One of them told me, "Don't bother reminding me about the law. I'm not afraid of being sued. It's useless for you to sue me. I don't want to say too much. You'd better tell me what you know. Otherwise, as you can see..." and he pointed at the instruments of torture.

After I told them I knew nothing, they began to torture me. They forced me to sit on a steel chair and cuffed my hands behind my back, with one hand forced up the middle of my back from below and the other hand forced down the middle of my back from over my shoulder. They were afraid that cuts on my wrists from the handcuffs might be used as evidence of torture, so they covered my wrists with towels. One of the officers, who was big and tall, stood right behind me. He yanked my head back by pulling my hair, forcing my nose and face upward. Another officer held a water bottle containing a kind of white liquid drug they called "Hot-root." There was a hole in the cap of the water bottle. He pointed the hole at my nose and squeezed the bottle, forcing the drug through my nose and into my stomach. The drug made me throw up white bubbles. I almost choked to death because I couldn't breathe. My whole head was tingling, numb, and swollen. I started to feel fuzzy and couldn't think clearly. The choking and vomiting was more unbearable than all the other tortures. In addition, the drugged water had a very intense, spicy smell. Tears and mucous poured out of my nose due to the strong stimulus of the drug. Furthermore, the drug gave me intense stomach cramps. The pain was beyond description. I felt like I was struggling on the verge of death. They didn't stop with only one application of the drug. When they saw me start to breathe, they pumped more of it into me. I was tortured five or six times this way. During the process, a police officer was always standing next to me with a very thick wooden stick. Later I was told that this kind of torture could easily cause death if the drug went into the lungs. If that were to happen, the person who held the stick was to beat the victim in the belly to expel the drug from the lungs. What a brutal and vicious method of torture this is!

This is one of the tortures commonly used on Falun Gong practitioners. To this day they continue to use this same cruel and foul method to dangerously persecute Falun Gong practitioners. I want to expose their evil deeds in this article and call for help to stop this horrific treatment of innocent people.
