Officials in Shanxi Province Suffer Karmic Retribution for Persecuting Falun Gong

Jan. 15, 2006

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

A number of officials in Shanxi Province have followed the lead of Jiang Zemin and the CCP by persecuting Falun Gong. These individuals have often met with karmic retribution. Several examples follow.

1. Sun Jihua, former director of the Shanxi Province Appeals Bureau, conspired with officers of the Yingze Police Department to persecute Dafa practitioner Ji Guoyuan, who was employed in Sun's work unit. They persecuted her continually over a long period of time. Sun, who had been a robust man, died of cancer shortly thereafter.

2. Sun Bingchen was the director of the Shanxi Province Justice Department and later became secretary-general of the Provincial People's Congress. He was investigated for taking bribes during his term as director and dismissed in 2003. He fled while he was still under investigation, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

3. The persecution of Falun Gong has been particularly severe in Xinghualing District in Taiyuan City. Wang Jianguo, CCP Secretary of Xinghualing District and later secretary-general of the Taiyuan City Committee, was suspected of taking bribes and was punished harshly. Recently, he fell while taking a shower and seriously injured himself. Reports indicate that he is unable to take care of himself currently.

4. Shao Jianwei was the director of the Xinghualing District Police Department in Taiyuan City, and he later became director of the Linfen City Police Department. Officers of the Criminal Investigation Corps, which was under his command, beat several practitioners to death for distributing Dafa flyers. In 2004, Shao was investigated for conferring official positions in exchange for money, accepting bribes, obstructing justice, and protecting organized crime. The bribes totaled more than five million yuan. He was sentenced to nine years in prison.

5. Niu Fan, deputy director of the Xinghualing District Police Department in Taiyuan City, was sentenced to prison for protecting organized crime.

6. Hou Wujie was formerly director of the Shanxi Province Propaganda Department, secretary of the Taiyuan City CCP Committee in 2000, and later deputy secretary of the Shanxi Province CCP Committee. He was removed from his post for accepting $100,000 in bribes. His case remains under investigation.

All personnel in police departments, prosecutor's offices, courts, and judicial offices, please learn from the above cases. You bear full responsibility for the persecution of Falun Gong in your areas. Please stop this persecution immediately!
