May 30, 2006

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 21, practitioners from Daegu and Gyeongsang-do gathered in Daegu to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and the 14th anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Gong. The celebrations included a parade and cultural programs.

In Korea, May is the month noted for paying respects to parents, teachers as well as gods and Buddha. The celebration of World Falun Dafa Day drew attention from all walks of life.

Marching in Daegu

Reenacting the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners

The celebration's parade kicked off at around 2 p.m. The procession featured colorful Falun banners, a Korean waist drum troupe and a Tang-dynasty attire troupe. On a float, practitioners reenacted the Chinese Communist regime's atrocities of harvesting organs from living practitioners. The reenactment was followed by practitioners holding photos of fellow Chinese practitioners who have been persecuted to death...

Many passers-by stopped to watch the parade, take photos or read Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Little practitioners from Minghui schools distributed "Falun Dafa is Good" balloons to children.

Colorful performance

The parade ended at downtown Daegu, where they set up a stage to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day with cultural programs including traditional Korean dances, instrumental performances, and solo and chorus vocal performances. Each of the programs received warm applause from the audience.

Passersby signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution

Practitioners also put on an anti-torture photo exhibit so that passers-by could have a chance to see the Chinese Communist regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. When they saw the reenacted atrocities of harvesting organs, in particular, many Daegu citizens signed a petition calling for an end to the terrible atrocities.
