Taiwan: National Cheng Kung University Students Hold Anti-Persecution Activity (Photo)

May 8, 2006 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Taiwan

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 24 to 28, 2006, students at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan held an activity to help stop the Chinese Communist regime's (CCP) harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners and cremating their bodies to destroy the evidence. The student made use of noon break time to distribute truth clarification materials at entrances of campuses, exposing to teachers and students the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in forced labor camps, and calling for serious attention to the human rights abuse happening in Mainland China.

Since the CCP initiated the genocidal persecution against Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, under the CCP's tight information blockade, we have still verified that 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have died as a result of the persecution. Since March 2006, several witnesses have testified that the CCP has built a secret concentration camp in Sujiatun, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province where thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been locked up and their organs were harvested when they were still alive and their bodies cremated to destroy the evidence. Insiders revealed that there are 36 similar concentration camps in China. Such crimes of organ thefts are commonplace in forced labor camps and prisons all over China.

The exposure of live organ harvesting has shown that the massive numbers of firsthand persecution accounts that Falun Gong practitioners have painstakingly collected are still the tip of the iceberg of the CCP's persecution. The CCP has denied the existence of the Sujiatun Concentration Camp and has relocated the witnesses. The source revealed that prior to May 1, the CCP intended to conduct a large-scale killing to destroy the evidence. The situation is urgent, as the lives of the imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners and the eyewitnesses are at stake.

One person said that even though he had long known there were organ transplants in Mainland China, and many Taiwanese people went to the Mainland to receive organ transplants, he never expected that the organs came from living Falun Gong practitioners, and it was really appalling. He read the truth clarification material and wanted to support the anti-persecution activity.
