(Clearwisdom.net) The most recent issue of "Minghui Weekly" (No. 227) carried an article that was first published in November 2003 titled "Expose the Evil Happening Locally to the Local People (With Master's Comments)." I exchanged understandings with several fellow practitioners, and we all felt that the website's revisiting this article was related to the fact that practitioners in China have not done enough to expose the evil in their local regions. There has existed such an issue in our region. While the evil in other dimensions has become less and less during the elimination process, why are the National Security police still frenziedly arresting practitioners? In March 2006, two practitioners from Changxing Town were arrested at different times. One of them has already been sent to Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp, and another is still being detained at the detention center.
From the end of last year to the beginning of this year, we successfully rescued a practitioner couple. Since then, a considerable number of practitioners have felt that they can take a rest. So they, to differing degrees, have slacked off. Although many practitioners participated in this rescue, we still have not achieved full participation (that is, by all practitioners). Some specific practitioners who hold a strong attachment to fear have not participated. Some practitioners had the ability to warn other practitioners with the evildoers' information, but they chose not to as they were afraid that the evildoers would discover their involvement and seek revenge. Some practitioners could have contacted family members or relatives of the evildoers and collected information about the their plans, but the practitioners did not do so. We should expose the evildoers who still do not want to stop persecuting Falun Gong. However, we now have to put our efforts on hold and cannot finish them because of our lack of evidence.
For example, one fellow practitioner made a suggestion on April 5. Because the database we have created about the police who have received karmic retribution is not complete and needs further verification through investigation, this practitioner asked those practitioners who have access to the police to provide more valuable information and make the database more complete. However, except for one piece of information from one practitioner, which was about a new case of karmic retribution, no others have provided information in the month since the request was made. As a result, we cannot expose the evildoers on the website.
This year a new person became head of the National Security Division. We should go talk to her and tell her the truth about the persecution and advise her to be kind-hearted. I heard that some practitioners were her classmates, but they did not dare to go talk to her in person for fear of getting into trouble. I was no exception; I had thought to write a letter to this new leader to persuade her to do good things, but I always felt that my education level was so low that it was hard for me to write something. I thought that it would be better to leave this work to others and to do something that is within my capacity. I thought, "I have too many things to do, and I can come back to this matter after I finish the other tasks and have the time." So I always found excuses for myself, which was, in fact, due to my attachment to comfort.
We cannot further expose the evildoers because for a very long time we have not gotten any information about the individuals who have committed evil doings and their relatives.
For a very long time we have remained in such a passive situation. Usually, after some of our practitioners were arrested, we hastily informed all practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts, and then we started the rescue effort. If we heard news that the police department had held a meeting and wanted to do something against practitioners, we then frequently sent forth the righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil. So why can't we turn our current, passive situation into a more active one?
Especially for those practitioners who have a strong attachment to fear, once they hear something bad they then hurry to pack up their "things." For example, last Friday some practitioners circulated the "reliable news" that "the police department recently held a meeting and planned to intensify their persecution of Falun Gong," or something like that. In the past, such as in February, there was also similar news circulating that said "all the police station leaders in the county held a meeting that specifically targeted persecuting Falun Gong." Some practitioners circulated this type of news with a human mentality, which made the news become more and more strange. In the end, after being spread by these practitioners, the news had become "a large scale arrest is about to happen."
For a small number of practitioners, after they heard this news, their fear immediately popped up. They went back home and quickly hid their Dafa materials. They also temporarily stopped going out to distribute truth-clarification materials, thinking that they would hide themselves for a while before resuming truth-clarification work. There were also some practitioners who even quickly left their homes and hid themselves somewhere else. After some days, when they saw that no action was taken by the police, they went home. When they noticed that no other practitioners had been moved by the rumor, they were very embarrassed. There were also practitioners who circulated rumors that "such and such practitioner's home is being monitored." As a result, those who needed to communicate with the practitioner did not dare to go to the practitioner's home. The news, after being spread around, resulted in a very bad effect.
What was the benefit of spreading this untrue hearsay? Was it really out of concern for fellow practitioners' safety? If one really meant to be responsible to fellow practitioners, he should simply go and tell the specific practitioner(s). Why did he widely circulate the news among practitioners? Past experience has proven that this type of news is not substantiated, so I hope that those practitioners who have circulated such news will pay attention to cultivating their speech and control what they should say and what they should not say.
Of course, some practitioners have circulated some news out of their concern for fellow practitioners' safety; they wanted to remind fellow practitioners to remain rational, use their wisdom, hold their mighty righteous thoughts, and not slack off when giving out truth-clarification materials. They have reminded practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the dark minions and rotten demons and act with righteous minds. However, some practitioners have completely treated these situations with their human notions.
