Austria: "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" International Art Exhibit on Display for the Seventh Time

July 11, 2006

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 16th, the Austrian Association for Art and Cultural Exchange in China (ARSCARA) held the International Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance art exhibition for the seventh time in Austria at the Kuenburg Kunststätte art location in Payerbach.

The opening ceremony was held in a grand and solemn manner, with musical accompaniment. The speakers were Peter Pasa, Payerbach’s mayor, Mr. Mag. Leopold, representative of the International Society for Human Rights (ISHR) and President of the ARS CARA Association, Mrs. Melanie Fleck.

Mayor Peter Pasa said in his speech, "The problems that cannot be solved through political persuasion have to be, as before, addressed though the arts, and by artists and intellectuals. They have to expose how the Chinese continues to trample over human rights (please understand that at this time we are talking about around 100 million people)."

"Dear ladies and gentlemen, to achieve this purpose an end to the persecution of Falun Gong, our Payerbach people can contribute, even if just a little. Please, look at these pictures. Take your time! Every one of these pictures tells a story a story that happened in that country China and still continues to happen. These people tell you more than all media articles in the world can ever tell you."

Here, on the Kuenburg Kuen Castle all forty pictures are displayed. They represent dramatically and tellingly the true situation in China. Many visitors came from the surrounding areas that evening. They all wanted to learn about the true situation of the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Because of the grouping of the pictures, grouped by four different themes, the visitors gained a deep appreciation for Falun Gong, its practitioners and the cruelty they suffer under the persecution. Yet, the pictures also portray hope that the red wall has already cracks, as represented in the pictures called "Zhang Kunlun," by the artist also called Zhang Kunlun. Beyond that, the pictures depict the belief that good is rewarded with good and evil is rewarded with evil.

The exhibition will run until June the 20th 2006 at Payerbach’s Kuenburg.
