Republic of Moldova: People are Concerned about the CCP’s Organ Harvesting Atrocities (Photos)

Sept. 11, 2006 |   By a Moldovan practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 23, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from the Republic of Moldova organized an activity on the square in front of the Chisinau Opera and Ballet Theater, to tell the people of Moldova about the seven years of persecution against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Falun Gong practitioners aspire to be good people and improve their moral character by following the practice’s guiding principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. The practice was made public in China in 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi and by 1999, 100 million people were enjoying improved health and morality through the practice. Then CCP leader Jiang Zemin was jealous of the practice’s popularity and launched a wide-scale persecution against Falun Gong in July 1999, vowing to "eliminate" the practice within 3 months.

The Moldovan practitioners gave out leaflets and talked with passers-by, telling them that almost 3,000 deaths of Falun Gong practitioners have been confirmed, but that the true figure is thought to be several times higher. The Chinese Communist Party has used countless forms of torture and maltreatment, including rape and sexual assault, in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs.

One of the more recent emergences of human rights atrocities against Falun Gong practitioners is the harvesting of their organs in labor camps across China. The organs are taken from living practitioners and sold to donors seeking transplants. The practitioners’ bodies are then cremated. The Moldovan practitioners told people about this to awaken their compassion and sympathy for what has been described as a "new form of evil" in a report by former Canadian Secretary of State David Kilgour and Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas.

As they heard and understood these things, the Moldovan people were deeply shocked. Some signed a petition to the top authorities of Moldova, calling on them to do everything possible, at the diplomatic level, to stop this pointless massacre in China. As people read the posters about these human rights abuses and talked with practitioners, they condemned the CCP and expressed their disgust that such things could take place in the 21st century.

After listening to practitioners explaining the positive effects of Falun Gong upon the moral standard and the health of practitioners, a policeman requested a copy of the book, Zhuan Falun and expressed a wish to start the practice.

Together with the adults at the protest, the children of Falun Gong practitioners also participated. The little ones gave out leaflets and explained, with seriousness, the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to passers by. Many people readily listened to the truth from the children.
