3. [Lixian County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhao Guo's Life in Peril Due to Torture and Other Information
Eight practitioners from Lixian County were sent either to Gaoyang Detention Center to the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp or to the Baoding City Brainwashing Center in 2005. Disabled practitioner Mr. Zheng Rongchang was arrested on August 11, 2006. Practitioner Datuo was arrested on August 18, 2006.
Practitioner Mr. Zhao Guo was sentenced to three years of forced labor after he was arrested at his home in 2005. Police neither provided evidence nor went through legal procedures. During the forced labor, Zhao Guo was hung up for three months. The perpetrators tortured him by stabbing his head and body with sharp objects. Mr. Zhao Guo's life is in peril.

Personnel from the Longtan District's Xin'an Street Police Station ransacked the home of practitioner Ms. Ma Ying's parents when Ms. Ma was visiting them on the evening of August 24, 2006. Ms. Ma and her parents were arrested. Her parents have since been released.

More than 30 practitioners from Zhalantun City, Inner Mongolia AR, were arrested on March 27, 2006. Many practitioners from the surrounding areas actively tried to rescue these practitioners once they got the message. Currently, most of the arrested practitioners have been released.

Ms. Yuan San, a 40-year-old villager practitioner from Laohekou City, Hubei Province, was arrested on August 12, 2006. Policemen locked her in the trunk of their car and took her back to Baihe County, Shaanxi Province.
Ms. Yuan San is from Gaolou Village in the Hongshanzui Community of Laohekou City. Her parents lived in Baihe County, Shaanxi Province. One of her older brothers in Baihe County is also a practitioner. They communicated by phone. Personnel from the 610 Office in Baihe County, Shaanxi Province, arrested her brother first. Then they colluded with the Laohekou City 610 Office and arrested Ms. Yuan, too.

They confiscated some Dafa books, banners, and copies of the Pureinsight Weekly Review (printed digest of articles from Pureinsight.org), a computer, and an MP3. They detained Ms. Wang on the 11th floor of Nanyang City Police Department, where Nanyang City's 610 Office is located.

18. [Chongqing] Mr. Cheng Yonghe and Other Practitioners Arrested
Practitioner Mr. Cheng Yonghe from the Changshou District of Chongqing was arrested in early August 2006 when distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Lingshui District. Practitioners Ms. Zou Hualan, Ms. Guo Yunqing, and Ms. Xiao Shujun were arrested as well on August 24.

Security guards arrested him and his wife when the couple was posting truth-clarifying materials in the middle of April 2006. Police arrested practitioners Ms. Chen Guilian and Ms. Liu Chaoyan from Fangchenggang City, Guangxi AR, at the end of July 2006. They are still being held at the Fangchenggang City Detention Center. This is their third forced labor sentence.
They had been held at the Guangxi AR's Forced Labor Camp for nearly six years between 1999 and 2006. They have endured all kinds of tortures.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Kaiqiong and another older female practitioner were reported when they were clarifying the truth in Xin Village, Xinhe Township, Miyi County, Sichuan Province, on August 17, 2006. Practitioner Ms. Yang Yuying, about 30 years old, is an employee of the Yubei District Oil Base in Chongqing. Agents from the Yubei District National Security Team broke into her house and arrested her and her mother on August 22, 2006. They are being held at the Huixing Detention Center in the Yubei District.
Ms. Yang Yuying had been held in a detention center for several months last year.

Following this discovery, policeman Yang Huanqin broke into several practitioners' houses the night of August 17 without any warrant. Agents from Yongling Police Department had previously sent Mr. Wu twice to labor camp(s) and twice to brainwashing center(s). He was sentenced to forced labor in 2004 and was held at Fushun Forced Labor Camp for 22 months. He was arrested again within two months of his release.

Practitioner Ms. Jiang Haiyan, an English teacher at the Affiliated Experimental Elementary School in the Yuanbaoshan District, is 39 years old. She graduated from junior college. She has been harassed since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. The officials threaten to fire her, and they also harass her husband.
Ms. Jiang was clarifying the truth in the Songshan District on August 12, 2006, when the police arrested her and took her to the Songshan District Detention Center. Her daughter is at home alone. Her husband, a bank director, also received threats from the police.

Practitioners Mr. Xu Changhong, Mr. Yu Jingguang, and Mr. Wang Lidi were living in Wenquan, Xianning City. They were held at the No. 1 Detention Center in Maoleshan, Xian'an, Xianning City, in early September 2005. Wenquan Police Department agents in Xianning City, Xian'an Procuratorate, persons from the National Security Division, and Xian'an District Court officials sentenced the three practitioners to prison on March 17, 2006.
Mr. Yu Jingguang comes from Longtan Township, Xianning City. He is now being held in Division 17 of Duanqinkou Prison
Mr. Xu Changhong worked as a pharmacist at the Renfa Central Hospital in Xianning City. The local 610 Office agents and officials from the National Security Division secretly sent him to Hongshan Prison on June 23. He is now being held in Division 14 at Qinduankou Prison in Hanyang, Hubei Province. He was sentenced to three years.
Mr. Wang Lidi is around 40 years old and had taught classes at the Xianning District Institute in Xianning City. Local 610 Office agents and the head of Yihaoqiao Police Department in Wenquan arrested him on the afternoon of September 5, 2005.

Thirteen Dafa practitioners including Mr. Wu Tonghai, Mr. Wu Tongde, Mr. Wang Sitong, Mr. Li Yuanrong and Mr. Shen Zhiqing were arrested at Yibinlouba, along the border between Sichuan Province and Yunnan Province. Practitioner Mr. Zhang Yawei's home was surrounded by a group of plainclothes police officers at 5:00 a.m. on July 22, 2006. Mr. Liu Guangqing, an employee from the Liaohe Petroleum Field was also at Zhang Yawei's home at the time. Mr. Liu and Mr. Zhang locked the door and left home at 7:00 a.m. The police who were staked out around the corner broke into the home after the two practitioners left and ransacked it. They stayed until around 11:30 a.m. They took a computer, a DVD recorder, two printers, supplies used to make truth clarification materials, and 1,100 yuan in cash. Mr. Lu Guangqing was arrested when he returned home at noon.

Inmates and guards savagely beat practitioners Mr. Yuan Congxian and Mr. Liu Zhimin, who were following the guards' instructions on July 30, 2006. Mr. Yuan began a hunger strike the next day and is extremely weak. The guards ordered other inmates to force him to work.
The inmates harassed Mr. Yuan and beat him again on August 10. Guard L? Mingdong threatened him and boasted that he ordered the inmates to beat him. Inmates beat Mr. Yuan twice more after he returned. The inmates pushed his head down until it nearly touched the ground. He suffers pain in his head and neck, even to this day.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang, 38 years old, from the Jinzhou District, Dalian City, was abducted by four people one evening around August 15 when she was posting truth clarification materials in the Dongshan Neighborhood District in Jinfang. She has been taken to tBeisanli Detention Center in Jinzhou.
According to one of her abductors, the head of the Xianjin Police Department in Jinzhou hired some unemployed people to hide in surrounding neighborhoods at night and abduct practitioners. They are paid 600 yuan a month and a 100 yuan bonus for each practitioner they abduct.

Practitioner Ms. Wu Shanglan, 40 years old, is a peasant from Dongfanghong Village, Qingtongxia City. Officers from the Qingtongxia City Police Department and from the Yongning County Police Department arrested her. She is now being held at the Yinchuan City Detention Center.

46. [Chaozhou, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Lu Youming Arrested Again
Mr. Lu Youming comes from Sanrao Town, Raoping County, Chaozhou. He graduated with a major in art from Shantou University and was a teacher at Xinfeng Town Middle School in Raoping. He was persecuted many times for his belief in Dafa. Mr. Lu was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center and was sentenced to 18 months of forced labor in 2002. He was sent to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. After his release, Mr. Lu taught at the No. 1 Middle School in Sanrao Town.
Mr. Lu was reported by a parent of one of his students in April or May 2006 because he clarified the truth in class. He was arrested in July and sent to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp.
47. [Tianjin] Practitioners Ms. Tan Hongjun and Ms. Zhou Lan Still Detained
Practitioners Ms. Tan Hongjun and Ms. Zhou Lan from the Dongli District in Tianjin were reported when they were clarifying the truth. Officers from the Xinli Village Police Department in the Dongli District arrested them on July 28, 2006. They are still being held at the Dongli Detention Center.
Ms. Tan has been on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. According to a doctor, she is now showing signs of blood poisoning. Her husband took their young child and went to the Dongli District 610 Office and to the Xinli Village Police Department and demanded her release. Agents from the Dongli District 610 Office, however, ordered Dongli Detention Center guards to continue to brutally force-feed Ms. Tan Hongjun and refused to release her.

48. [Yutian County, Hebei Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Mr. Bian Changxue
Practitioner Mr. Bian Changxue from Shilituo Village, Sanshuitou Town, Yutian County, Hebei Province, is 42 years old. He has been arrested many times since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. Officers from the Yutian County Police Department and from the Sanshuitou Town Police Department also ransacked his home more than once after the persecution began. Officers from Yutian County Police Department and Sanshuitou Town Police Department again broke into Mr. Bian's home on January 25, 2006, and took a notebook computer, a multi-function copying machine, and lots of Dafa materials and Dafa books.
Mr. Bian Changxue held a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He was released on parole on February 12, 2006, while awaiting interrogation.
After his health slightly improved, he was arrested again on April 7, 2006. He is held in Group 1, Division 5 of Jidong Prison in Nanbao, Fengnan County. He has been holding a continuous hunger strike since August 7, 2006.
